Jesus wants us to believe in him for Salvation for he is who he said he is.
Jesus wants us to believe in him for Salvation for he is who he said he is.
Because of the Samaritan woman’s testimony of Jesus, many came to see him and believed him and asked him to stay. Jesus stayed for two more days.
And they were saying to the woman, “No longer because of what you said do we believe, for we ourselves have heard, and we know that this one is truly the Savior of the world!”
This is a key verse in what God wants from us , we all have heard of him by others, but Jesus wants us to hear from himself and believe individually.
Different reactions to Jesus and his words/ miracles.
Different reactions to Jesus and his words/ miracles.
The Samarians reacted immediately to Jesus in faith , while the Galileans wanted more miracles.
The Galileans welcomed Jesus back to further see his miracles to see if he is who he really says he is when they should have already responded in faith.
The reason for their disbelief is because a Prophet has no honor / value in his own homeland.
For Jesus himself testified that a prophet has no honor in his own homeland. So when he came to Galilee, the Galileans welcomed him, because they had seen all the things he had done in Jerusalem at the feast (for they themselves had also come to the feast).
Now he came again to Cana in Galilee, where he had made the water wine. And there was at Capernaum a certain royal official whose son was sick.
What do you think the royal official is gonna ask Jesus ?
This man, when he heard that Jesus had come from Judea into Galilee, went to him and asked that he come down and heal his son, for he was about to die.
