What is truth? ¿Que es la verdad?
It is a question at the center of every honest person who is looking for their purpose and meaning in life.
Es una pregunta en el centro de toda persona honesta que busca su propósito y significado en la vida.
And yet, more and more, it seems truth is being overlooked and disregarded - as though truth was a something that could change based on the situation or circumstance.

Truth is defined by Merriam Webster as
Truth: “the body of real things, events, and facts: Actuality” Verdad: “El cuerpo de cosas reales, eventos y hechos: Actualidad”

So truth as we understand in our world is what is Actually Fact. Not feelings! You might feel hot or cold right now, and the only thing truth has to do with it is whether or not what you say matches how you feel. But truth based on feelings is sinking sand.

Here is a trend I have witnessed with people who I met as a brother/sister in Christ and within a couple years completely backslid, ready?

They hear something that attracts their desire. Oyen algo que atrae su deseo.
They begin to spend more time listening to those things - like facebook groups, other social media. Comienzan a pasar más tiempo escuchando esas cosas, como grupos de Facebook, otras redes sociales.
They stop listening to the sermons and people who point them to Christ, so they isolate themselves. Dejan de escuchar los sermones y las personas que les señalan a Cristo, por lo que se aíslan.

Then, the devil has them because they are not in the fellowship of believers. They are isolated from the truth - the very truth that would set them free. I want us to see today that truth is not just facts - truth is a person. That person is Jesus Christ!

There was an encounter the disciples had with Jesus that I want us to look at.

26 And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out for fear.

28 And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.”
29 So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus.
30 But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!”
31 And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?”
32 And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased.
33 Then those who were in the boat came and worshiped Him, saying, “Truly You are the Son of God.”
25 Mas a la cuarta vigilia de la noche, Jesús vino a ellos andando sobre el mar.
26 Y los discípulos, viéndole andar sobre el mar, se turbaron, diciendo: ¡Un fantasma! Y dieron voces de miedo.

Peter asked Jesus to invite him into something that is similar to your relationship with God.
Pedro le pidió a Jesús que lo invitara a algo similar a tu relación con Dios.
We are walking on water, with the King of the Universe! The one who knows the stars by name. He transcends our problems (meaning He is higher) and can make what seems impossible - possible.

It doesn’t matter what your problem is.

TRUTH is here. Jesus is here. He sees your weaknesses. He knows your needs. Your sin is as day to Him and yet He says in John 8:10-11

Jesus does not condemn you because He is the one who came to save you.
