Asking Questions

Let Holy Spirit guide you when he or she is talking to you about what question to ask Holy Spirit.
I believe that Jesus is leading people into key moments that change their life forever.
The right Holy Spirit led question is what makes that change take place.
The questions can be asked to Jesus or sometime by Jesus to you.
Anointed questions in the perfect moment bring life altering change.
Show video of Shown Bolz This Story is Epic...
Identity:
In the area of people hearing who they are I have become very practiced in helping people hear God on their own by asking questions.
How do you build your house and life on the rock?
You hear God and respond.
What is likely to happen if someone hears God through someone else rather than on their own?
That person is likely not going to respond yet.
David asked one of those anointed questions in one of those perfect moments.
Right after David strengthened himself in the Lord he asked God a question.
1 Samuel 30:8 NASB95
8 David inquired of the Lord, saying, “Shall I pursue this band? Shall I overtake them?” And He said to him, “Pursue, for you will surely overtake them, and you will surely rescue all.
David asked God should I go and overtake them?
God responded go and you will overtake them and rescue all.
This set david on a path that changed his future forever.
Sometimes God asks us questions that change us forever too.
Ezekiel 37:1–10 NASB95
1 The hand of the Lord was upon me, and He brought me out by the Spirit of the Lord and set me down in the middle of the valley; and it was full of bones. 2 He caused me to pass among them round about, and behold, there were very many on the surface of the valley; and lo, they were very dry. 3 He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” And I answered, “O Lord God, You know.” 4 Again He said to me, “Prophesy over these bones and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord.’ 5 “Thus says the Lord God to these bones, ‘Behold, I will cause breath to enter you that you may come to life. 6 ‘I will put sinews on you, make flesh grow back on you, cover you with skin and put breath in you that you may come alive; and you will know that I am the Lord.’ ” 7 So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold, a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to its bone. 8 And I looked, and behold, sinews were on them, and flesh grew and skin covered them; but there was no breath in them. 9 Then He said to me, “Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, ‘Thus says the Lord God, “Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they come to life.” ’ ” 10 So I prophesied as He commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they came to life and stood on their feet, an exceedingly great army.
With Ezekiel, God asked him a question to get Ezekiel to believe that something impossible is possible.
It appears that motivating the people of Israel was as impossible as dead bones coming alive.
God showed Ezekiel this vision to give him faith for the people of Isreal.
Ezekiel 37:11–14 NASB95
11 Then He said to me, “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel; behold, they say, ‘Our bones are dried up and our hope has perished. We are completely cut off.’ 12 “Therefore prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God, “Behold, I will open your graves and cause you to come up out of your graves, My people; and I will bring you into the land of Israel. 13 “Then you will know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves and caused you to come up out of your graves, My people. 14 “I will put My Spirit within you and you will come to life, and I will place you on your own land. Then you will know that I, the Lord, have spoken and done it,” declares the Lord.’ ”
This started with a Question.
God is using questions to get people to believe again.
Show Video The whole world is wondering if God cares
Activation:
Ask if someone is wrestling with something.
Partner with someone.
Tell them “God is going to speak to you today”.
Ask Holy Spirit what questions to have them ask.
Examples:
What do you want from God today?
Do you have any dreams for your future?
Do you have a relationship you need answers about?
Practice:
Holy Spirit, what one thing You want me to know?
Holy Spirit, what is a dream You want for me?
Look for opportunities to ask questions or have someone ask Holy Spirit a question this week.
Other scriptures of asking questions.
John 15:16 NASB95
16 “You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you.
John 16:23 NASB95
23 “In that day you will not question Me about anything. Truly, truly, I say to you, if you ask the Father for anything in My name, He will give it to you.
Philippians 4:6–7 NASB95
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
1 Corinthians 2:12 NASB95
12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God,
Romans 8:15 NASB95
15 For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!”
