Traditionally, Adam is seen as the "man of sin" as it is Adam's sin that death first enters the world and comes to all men because all men sin. Yet, when we look at the Scriptures, Church Fathers, Second Temple literature, & other pagan myths/legends we find that Cain is the one regarded as the man of sin. Today we look at the reason for this life, that God gave us mortality so that we might repent & be changed. Cain does not repent & instead becomes an imager of demons!
