The New King James Version (Chapter 6)
3 And the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever...
In this present Age will you be a Mary or a Judas.
If you understand this question, then you should have shuddered in your shoes, there should have been some form of emotional or spiritual response, but if not then it could be that your sensitivity to the Spirit of God could be waining.
God spoke to us by His Word saying His Spirit will not always strive or contend with us because of our nature to play games with our eternality.
The importance of knowing our days are numbered and to know eternity will be spent somewhere should cause us to have a sense of urgency about serving God.
Mary
Luke 7:36-47 “Then one of the Pharisees asked Him to eat with him. And He went to the Pharisee’s house, and sat down to eat. And behold, a woman in the city who was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at the table in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster flask of fragrant oil, and stood at His feet behind Him weeping; and she began to wash His feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head; and she kissed His feet and anointed them with the fragrant oil. Now when the Pharisee who had invited Him saw this, he spoke to himself, saying, “This Man, if He were a prophet, would know who and what manner of woman this is who is touching Him, for she is a sinner.” And Jesus answered and said to him, “Simon, I have something to say to you.” So he said, “Teacher, say it.” “There was a certain creditor who had two debtors. One owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty. And when they had nothing with which to repay, he freely forgave them both. Tell Me, therefore, which of them will love him more?”
43 Simon answered and said, “I suppose the one whom he forgave more.”
And He said to him, “You have rightly judged.” 44 Then He turned to the woman and said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I entered your house; you gave Me no water for My feet, but she has washed My feet with her tears and wiped them with the hair of her head. 45 You gave Me no kiss, but this woman has not ceased to kiss My feet since the time I came in. 46 You did not anoint My head with oil, but this woman has anointed My feet with fragrant oil. 47 Therefore I say to you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little.”
When you have truly had an experience with Christ, your praise will be greater than your past!
Judas
Called as one of the Twelve
Seen the Messiah face to face
Empowered by Jesus to Preach and heal
walked closely with Jesus, seen the works
Betrayed Him with a kiss for worldly treasures
He cried saying this waste
your worship, true worship is not waste
Like Samson Judas kept playing and Samson found out the Spirit will not always continue to call you
As long as it was beneficial Judas was ok to serve Jesus, but when it turned away, he was no longerok with the walk.
The Spirit departed Him and he knew it not
Judas when he had made up his mind to betray Christ, the Bible said That Satan entered into him.
The New King James Version (Chapter 13)
26 Jesus answered, “It is he to whom I shall give a piece of bread when I have dipped it.” And having dipped the bread, He gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon. 27 Now after the piece of bread, Satan entered him. Then Jesus said to him,
You will either be one or the other, too many people are riding on the fence simply in order to not identify with either faction, however there is no fence riding with Jesus either yo are or you are not.
James 1:6-8 “But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.”
James 4:7-8 “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.”
Even Christ, Himself said to us “No man can serve two masters. either he will love the one and hate the other
