Good Morning!

Good morning! Welcome to Freedom Chapel. My name is Pastor Terry and I am the lead Pastor here at Freedom Chapel. If you are new with us this this morning thank you for joining us. I have some exciting news this morning we are working to make things a little easier for every one. Check out this new slide. If your a guest or you have never filled out the welcome card you can now do it on your phone.
Secondly, we believe that God has called us all to support our church. We do that through the form of a First Fruits Offering. This is called the tithe or 1st 10%.
Leviticus 27:30 ESV
30 “Every tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the trees, is the Lord’s; it is holy to the Lord.
Malachi 3:8 ESV
8 Will man rob God? Yet you are robbing me. But you say, ‘How have we robbed you?’ In your tithes and contributions.
Matthew 23:23 ESV
23 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint and dill and cumin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faithfulness. These you ought to have done, without neglecting the others.
2 Corinthians 9:11 ESV
11 You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God.
This week I was reminded of how important the tithe is. At a Bible Study this week Mayor Tom Brown posed the question. “Who here has anything that did not first come from the Lord?” Then he said something profound. “If every christian trusted God with the tithe, the churches would never run out of money and the needs of our community would be met.”
I am not saying all this to guilt trip anyone. I honestly dislike talking about money. It is uncomfortable because a lot of Christians have a heart issue and a trust issue when it comes to money. This is a teaching moment.
Jesus told us this:
Luke 6:38 ESV
38 give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.”
The truth of the matter is this. My First Fruit belongs to God. If I use it I stole it. Are you generous when you pay your utility bills or a loan payment. No. Generousity begins when I begin to give out of my 90%.
Today is missions Sunday. This Church currently supports 25 plus Missionaries Locally, Statewide, Nationally, and Globally. We do that by taking 10% of the Gross giving each month what that gives us is the ability to support most of our missionaries at a level of $40 a month. The increase comes when people begin to give outside of their tithe. That is why every month I am going to remind you to join Michelle and I in giving at least $25 to Missions. Above and beyond.
The truth of the matter is God will only bring to you what he can get through you.
Let’s Pray over today’s offering.
Don’t forget to pay attention to the Bulletin, the EBlast, our Social Media, and our Website for all the things coming up here at Freedom Chapel.

If you have your Bibles Please Turn to Romans 8 we are going to pick up in verse one.
Romans 8 is really shaping up to be my favorite chapter in this entire letter. Paul has used 7 chapters to lay the ground work of how we are Justified.
Now that he has the reader of this letter understanding the source he begins to lay out why this Good News is the Bestest News you could ever hear.
Justification Through Christ is the Best Justification you could ever recieve.
Why.

1. This News Changes Your Reality: From Condemnation to Celebration

Romans 8:1 ESV
1 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
Romans 8:1 (ESV)
1 There is therefore now no condemnation.....
no [noh] 1. used to give a negative response. ie: “Is anything wrong?” “No.” “No, I will not go on a date with your cousin Ralph” synonyms: absolutely not, most certainly not, of course not, under no circumstances, by no means, not at all, negative, never, not really; informal: nope, nada, uh-uh, nah, not on your life, no way, no way José, ixnay;

Romans 8:1 ESV

2. The This News Changes Your Reason: From Condemnation to Justification

Justification is the act of God Whereby He forgives the sin of an unsaved person and credits/assigns to them the righteousness of Christ when through faith they believe.

AT THE MOMENT OF YOUR SALVATION THREE THINGS TAKE PLACE:

1. YOU ARE FORGIVEN

2. YOU ARE ASSIGNED CHRIST’S RIGHTEOUSNESS

3. YOU ARE GIVEN FAITH TO BELIEVE.

Romans 8:2 ESV
2 For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.

What does the law do when we are in the flesh. In The Flesh I get...............

Romans 8:3a (ESV)
3 For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do.
Romans 8:3 (ESV)
3 For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son....
In creating us God knew we would have a problem we could not solve. So he put in place a plan we couldn’t mess up.
Ephesians 1:4–5 NLT
4 Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. 5 God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.
Romans 8:3a (ESV)
3 For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son...
Romans 8:3a (ESV)
3 For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin,
Romans 8:3 (ESV)
3 For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh,
Why would he do that.

3. This News Changes Your Reality: From Condemnation to Sanctification

Romans 8:4a (ESV)
4 in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us,
Romans 8:4 (ESV)
4 in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
