Trust His Hand-Isaiah 41:9-10

INTRO: IN AFRICA, I had become separated from the group; I didn’t know the right direction; BUT a “man” took my hand and led me.

It felt peculiar holding a man’s hand; admitting I didn’t know where I was; admitting I was afraid.

Because of the ASSURANCE and commitment of the person holding my hand, I let go of the fear and decided to TRUST HIS HAND.

As believers in Christ, we are often faced with many things that cause us fear.

There’s assurance for us today in God’s Word. Victory is ours, if we TRUST HIS HAND.

IN ORDER TO TRUST HIS HAND, YOU TRUST WHO YOU ARE

IS 41:9 “I have called you back from the ends of the earth, saying, ‘You are my servant.’ For I have chosen you and will not throw you away.”

(Ends of the earth=wits ends) You are my servant = You belong to God.

Because You belong to God, He will not allow any shame to come upon you.

NOT shame from your past...Shame from your living according to His word; Loving according to His word; shame from TRUSTING HIS HAND.

Remember, God chose You!

You weren’t forced on Him…He Chose You!

He didn’t feel sorry for you…He Chose You!

SHOPPING?-shopper carefully chooses ingredients for a meal…God carefully chose you.

TRUST WHO YOU ARE. YOU ARE CHOSEN; PECULIAR (characteristic on ONE; unique; special), and He will NOT throw you away.

IN ORDER TO TRUST HIS HAND, YOU MUST TRUST HIS WORD

IS 41:10 “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you.

FEAR NOT = DOUBT NOT. Fear is associated with Doubt.

His Word says He’s a God of PROMISE.

I AM WITH YOU = Personal commitment from the Almighty. CO-SIGN.

His Word says He’s a God of Presence.

IS 43:2 “2 When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.”

NOTICE - GOD DOESN’T REMOVE THE CIRCUMSTANCE, HE’S WITH YOU IN THE CIRCUMSTANCE.

His word says He’s a God of PROVISION.

Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God.

Discouraged=dismayed…look to the right and left for resources.

God gives us assurance that when the friends are gone; the banks are dry. I AM!

When we run short of cash we often go to a friend…What A Friend We Have in Jesus.

Many times PROVISION means Money. But that’s NOT good theology.

WHAT DOES GOD PROVIDE? Are you weak? I will strengthen you and help you.

Weak doesn’t mean NO STRENGTH; it means uncertain about the direction your taking.

Sometimes there is so much coming at you all at once you want to avoid a collision. But GOD, who strengthens you says,”I’m the Captain of this ship, TRUST MY HAND…then He leads you right to it.

IN A STORM, The Captain points the bow directly at the raging waves, knowing that best way to victory is to go through it.

His word says He is a God of POWER.

I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.”

To hold you up (When you scared; ready to run…that’s POWER!

Sometimes you’re ready to give up. You think it’s all over. It ain’t over until God says it’s over.

There are times when you’re sinking in the situation and don’t know what to do.

PETER WALKING ON WATER.

Call on Jesus. He’ll Hold You Up..with his POWERFUL hand!

Trust His Hand…He won’t fail you.

Trust His Hand…He will give you victory.

What is it that you need? I AM

CLOSE: : You may have become separated; You may not know where you’re going. Like ship that’s tossed and driven...

BUT TRUST HIS HAND (3X)

TRUST HIS HAND OF PRESENCE, PROVISION, POWER.

THEN Give Him PRAISE.
