Friendship Explored
Friendship Explored
Good morning and friendly blessings to you and your family. We have all come here today to gather in brotherly love and friendship. My hope is that each of us would come to understand a deeper relationship with our Heavenly Father and each other before we leave this place.
Today, I’d like to look at a couple of verses which continue our conversation of friendship. Last week we explored a beautiful relationship experience between King David and his servant Johnathon. In today’s message we will dig a little deeper into some aspects of what God word teaches us about this beautiful subject of friendship.
Our key verses for today will be,
Pr 22:24-25 “Make no friendship with an angry man, And with a furious man do not go, Lest you learn his ways And set a snare for your soul.”
jas 4:4 “Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.”
We will be looking at two aspects of friendship that God gives us thru His word. From the Old to the New Testament scripture is very clear as to how we are called to respond to circumstances in life. The first of which we will evaluate today is friendship and anger.
How often have any of you ever been or have become angry with a friend. Friendship is one of the most challenged aspects of life here on planet Earth.
Pr 22:24-25 “Make no friendship with an angry man, And with a furious man do not go, Lest you learn his ways And set a snare for your soul.”
