We can know God Exists

Thousands of years ago, Pharaoh, the Egyptian ruler, posed a question people are still asking today; “Who is the Lord that i should listen to Him?”
That’s a good question, but it is not an easy subject to tackle. It is difficult for our limited minds to grasp the limitless, eternal God. it has been said, “if God were small enough for our minds, He wouldn’t be big enough for your needs.”
For that reason don’t be exasperated if you can’t fully understand who God is or why he does certain things. One day, scripture promises, everything about God and His character will be made perfectly clear to us.
the Apostle Paul said,
1 Corinthians 13:12 NASB95
For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known.
But until then, we will find everything we need to know about him in his word.
Last week we learned the Attributes and characters of God.
God is eternal, he lives outside of time and space.
God is all knowing, ever present, and all powerful.
God is Holy
God is loving and Just (John3:16)
God is in control (Sovereign)
the God of the bible is the One, true God.
Isa 43.10 ““You are My witnesses,” declares the Lord, “And My servant whom I have chosen, So that you may know and believe Me and understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, And there will be none after Me.”
God knows every little detail about what is going on in His creation. Scientists tell us that there are 100 billion stars and more tan a billion galaxies. Yet Scripture tells us that God counts the stars and calls them by name (Psalm 147:4)
If God pays that much attention to detail, you can be assured that He is always aware of what is happening in your life. God is also able to “chart the path ahead of [you]” because He lives in the eternal realm, where He can see the future as clearly as we see the past.

Romans 1:19–20 NLT
They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them. For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.
God has made himself evident to us.

Psalm 8:3–4 NASB95
When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained; What is man that You take thought of him, And the son of man that You care for him?
Do you know how much God cares for you?
ex3.2-9 “The angel of the Lord appeared to him in a blazing fire from the midst of a bush; and he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, yet the bush was not consumed. So Moses said, “I must turn aside now and see this marvelous sight, why the bush is not burned up.” When the Lord saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, “Moses, Moses!” And he said, “Here I am.” Then He said, “Do not come near here; remove your sandals from your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground.” He said also, “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” Then Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look at God. The Lord said, “I have surely seen the affliction of My people who are in Egypt, and have given heed to their cry because of their taskmasters, for I am aware of their sufferings. “So I have come down to deliver them from the power of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to…”
Exodus 3:13–14 NLT
But Moses protested, “If I go to the people of Israel and tell them, ‘The God of your ancestors has sent me to you,’ they will ask me, ‘What is his name?’ Then what should I tell them?” God replied to Moses, “I Am Who I Am. Say this to the people of Israel: I Am has sent me to you.”
Jesus is the “I AM” (John 8.58)
I am the bread of life Jn6.35
I am the light of the world Jn8.12
I am the door Jn10.7
I am the resurrection and the life Jn11.25
I am the way, and the truth and the life Jn14.6
John 1:1–3 NLT
In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him.
Colossians 1:15–16 NLT
Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see— such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him.
Memory verse
Psalm 119:89–90 NLT
Your eternal word, O Lord, stands firm in heaven. Your faithfulness extends to every generation, as enduring as the earth you created.
