Prayer for Kaylee
Father, Your Word says, “The Spirit helps us in our weakness, for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but that very Spirit intercedes with groanings too deep for words. 27 And God, who searches hearts, knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.” and so we come in the name of Jesus, we pray and confess Your Word over Kaylee Jones and surround her with our faith — faith in Your Word that You watch over it to perform it. We confess and believe that Kaylee is Your child. We pray for peace and undisturbed composure, because You, God, contend with that which contends with Kaylee. We pray for her safety and safe return to her family.
We commit and cast her care on You Father, she is in Your hands, and we are positively persuaded that You are able to guard and keep that which we have committed to You. You are more than enough!
We give Your angels charge over Kaylee to accompany, defend and preserve her. Your Word declares that children are an inheritance from You and promises peace when they are taught in Your ways.
Father, we thank you that Your word goes out and will not return to you void, but it will accomplish that which you sent it forth to do.
Kaylee is Your child and we know that you are watching over her. We pray Lord for help in locating her, wherever she may be. Help her to return to her family, provide a way of escape, place in her the desire to return to her family who loves and cares for her, her family who chose her to be a part of their family, Lord.
Father, if she is being held against her will, we pray for those who are holding her, Lord soften their hearts to return her to her family. Lord help them to see the child in her, awaken in them the humanity to realize she is someone’s child, that she is a human being meant to be loved and not used for their selfish gain. Stir up their conscious to recognize their error and turn from their wicked ways and practices. Lord cleanse their hearts and change their minds, show them the error of their ways.
We speak life, we speak hope in this situation and we know that You see all, You know all, that You are over all, in all and through all, so we thank you Lord for Your guidance, for Your love and for Your grace in Jesus name we pray, Amen.
Prayer for the Family
Father God, we come right now praying for Kaylee’s family; Lord we pray that you would give them peace in the midst of this storm, peace that surpasses all understanding.
Lord, we lift her parents before you, quieten their minds that they may think clearly, calm their hearts that they may continue to love each other and the other children in their home. Lord let this situation not consume them; give them quiet rest and unhindered slumber that their bodies may rest, even now.
We know that you Lord are in control of all things and nothing happens that you didn’t know or that you can’t handle, so Lord we declare
You who live in the shelter of the Most High, who abide in the shadow of the Almighty, will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.” For he will deliver you from the snare of the hunter and from the deadly pestilence; he will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and defense. You will not fear the terror of the night or the arrow that flies by day or the pestilence that stalks in darkness or the destruction that wastes at noonday. Because you have made the Lord your refuge, the Most High your dwelling place, 10 no evil shall befall you, no scourge come near your tent. 11 For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. 12 On their hands they will bear you up, so that you will not dash your foot against a stone. Those who love me, I will deliver; I will protect those who know my name. 15 When they call to me, I will answer them; I will be with them in trouble; I will rescue them and honor them. 16 With long life I will satisfy them and show them my salvation.
Lord we look forward with great anticipation to your salvation, your peace, and rest in Jesus name, Amen
For cyber awareness and internet safety
Father God, we come right now asking you to watch over our children, protect them from cyber predators, those who would plot to do evil.
We spoil the plans of the devourer, we come against every scheme that would try to lure our children away.
Lord, Let the wicked change their ways and banish the very thought of doing wrong. Let them turn to the Lord that he may have mercy on them. Yes, turn to our God, for he will forgive generously.
Fill our children with your love, saturate their minds with your peace. Let them know they are loved beyond measure and that their parents only want what’s best for them.
We come against the forces of evil that threaten harm, we frustrate his tricks and destroy his traps. We speak love and life into the hearts of our children. Help them to know they are the head and not the tail, that they are above and not beneath, that they are lacking nothing, that their parents are withholding nothing.
In Jesus name, Amen
Prayer for a Teenager
Father, in the name of Jesus, I affirm Your Word over our sons and daughters. We commit then to You and delight ourselves also in You. We thank You that You deliver them out of rebellion into right relationship with us, their parents. Father, the first commandment with a promise is to the child who obeys their parents in the Lord. You said that all will be well with them and they will live long on the earth.
We affirm this promise on behalf of our children, asking You to give them an obedient spirit that they may honor (esteem and value as precious) their father and mother. Father, forgive us for mistakes made out of our own unresolved hurts or selfishness, which may have caused them hurt. We release the anointing that is upon Jesus to bind up and heal broken hearts. Give us the ability to understand and forgive one another, as God for Christ’s sake has forgiven us.
Thank You for the Holy Spirit Who leads us into all truth and corrects erroneous perceptions about past or present situations. Thank You for teaching us to listen to each other and giving our teenagers an ear that hears admonition, for then they will be called wise. We affirm that we will speak excellent and princely things, and the opening of our lips shall be for right things.
Father, we commit to train and teach them in the way they are to go, and when they are old, they will not depart from sound doctrine and teaching, but will follow it all the days of their lives.
In the name of Jesus, we command rebellion to be far from the heart of our children and confess that they are willing and obedient, free to enjoy the reward of Your promises. Our teenagers shall be peaceful, bringing peace to others. Father, according to Your Word, we have been given the ministry of reconciliation, and we release this ministry and the word of reconciliation into this family situation. We refuse to provoke or irritate or fret our children; We will not be hard on them lest they become discouraged, feeling inferior and frustrated. We will not break their spirits, in the name of Jesus and by the power of the Holy Spirit. Father, we forgive our children for the wrongs they have done and stand in the gap until they comes to their senses and escape out of the snare of the enemy (rebellion). Thank You for watching over Your Word to perform it, turning and reconciling the heart of the rebellious child to the parents and the hearts of the parents to the child. Thank You for bringing our children back into a healthy relationship with You and with me, that our lives might glorify You! Amen.
