Intro
What a journey we have been on.....
Through the Book of Revelation
Every Chapter
Read fully to the congregation of Gods people - AMEN
How many of you learned a lot ?
A message is one of Hope from beginning to end.
After close to 30 sermons we are coming to the end.
I guess it is like the End times - It takes a while but it will eventually end.
Lets just jump right in.
Revelation 22 ESV
1 Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb 2 through the middle of the street of the city; also, on either side of the river, the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. 3 No longer will there be anything accursed, but the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will worship him. 4 They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. 5 And night will be no more. They will need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever. 6 And he said to me, “These words are trustworthy and true. And the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, has sent his angel to show his servants what must soon take place.” 7 “And behold, I am coming soon. Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.” 8 I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I heard and saw them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed them to me, 9 but he said to me, “You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers the prophets, and with those who keep the words of this book. Worship God.” 10 And he said to me, “Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is near. 11 Let the evildoer still do evil, and the filthy still be filthy, and the righteous still do right, and the holy still be holy.” 12 “Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay each one for what he has done. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.” 14 Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates. 15 Outside are the dogs and sorcerers and the sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood. 16 “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star.” 17 The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price. 18 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book. 20 He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus! 21 The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen.
This a continuation from chapter 21 - We are now Inside the great City
We are going to look at some OT scriptures
Again we see some references as far back as Genesis. That is why it is important to read all of scripture - AMEN
Genesis talks about rivers in
Genesis 2:10 ESV
10 A river flowed out of Eden to water the garden, and there it divided and became four rivers.
Eden the place where it all started - In its temporary perfection
But this river flows from Gods Throne - permanent perfection
The Bible Exposition Commentary Chapter Twelve: All Things New! (Revelation 21–22)

The river and the tree symbolize abundant life in the glorious city.

Not just New Life but Abundant Life
Ezekiel 47:12 NASB95
12 “By the river on its bank, on one side and on the other, will grow all kinds of trees for food. Their leaves will not wither and their fruit will not fail. They will bear every month because their water flows from the sanctuary, and their fruit will be for food and their leaves for healing.”
In Psalms the Psalmist says Ps 46:4
Psalm 46:4 ESV
4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High.
Healing and Gladness are two themes we could preach a lot on these days - AMEN
Beautiful Gardens
In Genesis we are driven out of the Garden because of Sin - In Revelations we the gardens again surround us and in them trees of life
Flowering every month. - Non stop blessings- An abundance that will never end.
Healing of the Nations in its leaves - Health
Another piece of the Blessing is Non Stop light
God is the God of light.
1 John 1:5 NASB95
5 This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.
Ephesians says we were darkness - Not in darkness - Gods light has changed us.

for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord

We are now apart of that light.
We are now called to - Do Right and Be Holy
Those who follow Christ will enter
John 1:12 NASB95
12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name,
We will serve the Lord forever - not out of compulsion but out of love
We will be motivated from Love to Love
A Theologian said, “Heaven is more than a destination it is a motivation.”
Hear and thirst for God
Be ready for His appearing
You enter with washed robes
Washed in the blood of Christ - Purified from sin
That word washed - doesn’t mean just once but continually washed. In this life you are going to get dirty with the sludge of the world. Christs blood is sufficient not only to wash you but purify you - AMEN
Finally Scripture says
Don’t add or take away from this prophecy.
Deuteronomy 4:2 NASB95
2 “You shall not add to the word which I am commanding you, nor take away from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.
Sometimes our tendency is to say - I need more than this - Lets just add to it.
There is no addition required for the grace of God. There can be nothing added to the mercy of God.
When you add - you are really taking away from the words of God.
Proverbs says
Proverbs 30:5–6 NASB95
5 Every word of God is tested; He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him. 6 Do not add to His words Or He will reprove you, and you will be proved a liar.
Because God is the source of truth nothing can be added to it. Nothing that men can come up with can be compared to the knowledge of God.
Gods Word holds the heavenly copyright.
The Wrap up.
John was led by the Spirit, was caught up in the Spirit and by the Spirit we must live . AMEN
Luke 12:35–38 NASB95
35 “Be dressed in readiness, and keep your lamps lit. 36 “Be like men who are waiting for their master when he returns from the wedding feast, so that they may immediately open the door to him when he comes and knocks. 37 “Blessed are those slaves whom the master will find on the alert when he comes; truly I say to you, that he will gird himself to serve, and have them recline at the table, and will come up and wait on them. 38 “Whether he comes in the second watch, or even in the third, and finds them so, blessed are those slaves.
Conclusion
