Confession of Faith
I am not moved by what I see or by what I feel. I am moved by what I believe. I believe the WORD of God! The victory is mine! I have it now! I can see it through the eyes of my faith! In Jesus Name

Intro:
Paul tells us, Paul reminds us that In Him , In Jesus , God has redeemed us and forgiven our sins.
Sometimes in order to understand where you are today, you have to remember where you’ve been
Here’s what I mean
We can always find our former selves in the bible! Now remember when Paul is talking - he is talking to Christ Followers, He is Talking to the Church - This list is not for us to point our religious fingers at the world - this is to remind us that we have been set free so when you hear your sin - just say to your self I’ve been set free
9 Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality,
10 or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people—none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God.
11 Some of you were once like that. But you were cleansed; you were made holy; you were made right with God by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.
We have been redeemed! - By Jesus
We have been delivered - By Jesus
We have been set free! - By Jesus
I was to powerless to free myself!
I could not pay the penalty to free myself from my situation, or my bondage!
So today, when you see people caught up in sin, as a believer who has been set free, knowing what it’s like to be caught up
remember that brother or sister is dealing with the force of sin!
We must have compassion! We must pray!
23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
All of us have been caught up in the force of sin!
14 So the trouble is not with the law, for it is spiritual and good. The trouble is with me, for I am all too human, a slave to sin.
Let me say this… I hear a lot of folks say “Just keep it Real” or just preach the word… not all that other stuff
But what I realize they want you to keep it real until you keep it real…
So hear is what the bible teaches
This force called corruption and this force called death has impacted the world and everything in this world!
21 that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God.
So people say, that’s depressing
But keep it real Pastor...
Everything wastes away, Everything deteriorated, Everything ages and everything eventually dies!
This force of corruption and death had captivated you and me, But God
Now , those who have been set free we live different! We think different, We want different
We live to please God, We live to lift up Jesus, we live to please the Holy Spirit
Tell the person next to you - You have been set free!
8 Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit.
Now , let’s look at the unbeliever!
4 Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.
19 We know that we are children of God and that the world around us is under the control of the evil one.
2 You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God.
Keep it real Pastor
Here is the deal - we all have family members, relatives, friends, co-workers who are living blinded by this world, blinded by the things of this world, blinded by devil!
They don’t understand the Good news of Jesus Christ is here to set them free!
We see the enemy at work - blinding people with the things of the world
They the don’t understand that the devil constantly is working in their hearts and minds to keep them refusing to have relationship with God through Jesus Christ
So we have work to do
We pray and live our lives so that they man experience redemption and freedom from the bondage of sin
We know that the only one who can free them and the only one who freed us is Jesus
man or woman, is unable to liberate, deliver or set themselves free from satan’s stronghold
We could not do it!
So the work today is to let them know that God has set them free by the blood of his Son Jesus Christ!
God has paid the ransom! It was his life for their life!
God has given his only son so that every man, woman, boy or girl might be free!
28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”
Now, hear me on this...
if you are hurting - right now, if you know you are doing something that is harmful to your self or others, if you are caught up in , if you are tired of being sick and tired, if you can’t figure this thing called life out, my goal and every other believer’s goal and desires is to tell you that you have been set free!
Jesus paid the price for your redemption and the only thing you have to do is call on his name!
The bible teaches us in Romans
13 For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
It is so hard to see loved ones caught up in sin, continually hurt and broken, depressed, lonely, confused - disappointed in people , angry at the world, confused and misused by other folks who are following after things of this world when all they have to do is call on the name of the Redeemer!
As a Christ follower, I want us all to be set free! But, I have learned that I can’t fight people for their freedom!
Jesus has done the work! Jesus has given his life! Freedom is available for everyone! Church, it’s not our job to make people feel guilty or bad! It’s not our job to push them away from a relationship with God through Jesus Christ, because of religious rules and regulations! It is not our job, to manipulate, lie to, control or confuse people by telling them what the want to hear!
It is our job to serve, to love, to pray, to live an example of redeemed life!
it is our job to point them to Jesus!
It is our job to share with them the amazing grace that you and I receive every moment as we daily walk in our freedom
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,
9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.
It is our job to share with them God’s grace and what that means
Grace is the favor and kindness of God.
But there is something different about God’s favor and kindness.
God’s favor and kindness are given despite the fact that it is undeserved God gives me this favor when I didn’t earn it!
Our job is tell the unbeliever and remind the believer: God has given His grace to us...
• even when we are cursing Him.
• even when we reject him
• even when we rebel against Him.
• even when we are hostile toward Him.
• even when we deny Him.
• even when we neglect Him.
• even when we half-hearted commitment to Him.
• even when we worship religion instead of Him.
• even when we bring false worship to him.
• even when we sin.
Our job is to tell people - Grace is about giving,
But it is giving to people who do not deserve the gift.
So What is the gift, Pastor that God has given?
The gift is Jesus Christ. God has given His Son, Jesus Christ, to save men and women, boys and girls
He did not have to give His Son. God could have wiped each and every one of us from the face of the earth. We deserved it, but this is God's grace. God is full of mercy and love and kindness—God’s very nature is full of these amazing qualities. and because of that God was bound to shower His grace upon mankind. God was bound to send His Son to save us.
Our job is to let them know, God is not off someplace in the distance, far removed from us, disinterested and unconcerned with their life !
God is gracious, full of mercy, love, and kindness for us; therefore, He has reached out through His Son Jesus Christ to help us.
Our job is to tell them that Jesus died for us.
Out job is to share with them that When Jesus Christ hung upon the cross, He was taking our sins upon Himself and bearing the punishment for our sins.
We had committed sin against God: We reject and rebel against God. The penalty for sin is death; we are condemned to die. But Jesus took our penalty and condemnation upon Himself. He died for us—in our place, as our substitute. This is what bible means when it says that Christ died for us.
6 When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners.
8 But God shows his great love for us in this way: Christ died for us while we were still sinners.
10 For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son.
My Job is to tell you how much God loves you and he has already set you free!!!
