The Shepherd said It's Time to come back Home

Matthew 9:35 And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. 36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.

To begin with Brothers and sisters, Christian Friends, Well wishers, And Saints of God It gives me a plum, pleasing, privilege to take 15 minutes expound and explain the word of God today. The Matthew 9 text said the Folk were like sheep without a Shepherd.

The lord will provide for His congregation And the Great Shepherd of the Sheep told me to tell you It’s time to come back home. The bible says that Jesus was traveling from town to town preaching, teaching, and reaching folk. Jesus came through town healing and casting out devils. Jesus had several encounters along the way. Let’s examine Matthew’s Gospel.

In Matthew 9:1 Jesus heals a paralyzed man and said son thy sins be forgiven and the religious authorities got mad saying stuff like only God can forgive sins,” but that didn’t bother Jesus Because Jesus said to the paralyzed man in Matthew 9:6 take up thy bed and walk. And folk were amazed and marvelled and glorified God that the paralyzed man got a Great healing through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Then there was the case where Jesus ran into the crooked tax collector named Matthew and told him in verse 9 Follow me. If we follow Jesus everything will be alright. And This text is mentioned to let us know that If we weren’t righteous before because Matthew wasn’t, we can try a whole new way with Jesus. because if Jesus has to reach way down He can clean us up. If God could clean Matthew up clean all of us up too.

And in the text the super religious folk got mad with Jesus because he was eating and drinking with people who don’t quite fit the normal orthodoxy of the religious order.And Jesus at the end of that! conversation Jesus gave a lesson on Repentance: Repentance is a change of mind a turning away from sin and a turning towards God.

Jesus said in essence the church is the spiritual hospital and people ought to be able to come to church and get better. I need to be at church— It will just make me a better person.

In Matthew 9:14 John’s disciples came to Jesus asking about fasting and following proper religious church polity and policies like the Pharisees did and Jesus said wait a minute now Leave my people alone they are on a different level. They don’t have to fast yet because they’ve got Me. And church you have to understand that everybody is not on the same level. and at the end of that conversation Jesus said in Matthew 9:17 Listen you put new wine in new bottle and the new product will be persevered.

Meaning when we start a new thing we can’t do things the same old way and expect new results. The Apostle Paul said old things are passed away and behold all things become new

And in 2022 we have to be careful not to viliianize and obstricize and continually criticize one another or we’ll never get better.

Tell your neighbor: Let go and Let God handle it and things will get better.

Then Jesus encountered a ruler of the synagogue whose daughter has just died and he said Jesus if you come she’ll be restored. That’s great faith. And said Ok I’ll come. I’m on my way, but while going to Jarius’ house Matthew 9: 20 says that there was a woman with an issue of Blood. She was in bad shape She had been doctor after doctor for 12 long years and has spent all that she had. She knew it was highly illegal, and way way way out of order to be in a public crowd of people in that condition. but Oh don’t you see her secretly, stealthy, and surreptitiously sneaking in and snatching her blessing. She said just one touch from the Lord will make me whole again. The songwriter said “What can wash away my sins, what can make me whole again, Nothing but the blood of Jesus”. She got her healing.

And the Shepherd is saying its time to come back home because somebody actually need a healing. The woman with the issue of blood get her healing.. Don’t you leave here until you get your blessing.

Tell your neighbor: Don’t leave until you get it.

And when Jesus arrives to Jarius’ house, The bible says in verse 23 that there are professional mourners the bible call them minstrels..

In biblical antiquity they would hire people to comfort you in time of bereavement and Jesus comes in and says she’s just sleeping, she’s going to be alright, I’m going to wake her up in a minute. They laughed at Jesus so hard until they couldn’t catch your breath.

But there’s no secret to what my God can do… If you don’t hear nothing else I say Just know this God is Able. He’s Able 3x God can do anything but fail. Yeah 3x. Jesus puts them out!! Grab the little maid by the hand and she got up! And fame spread throughout the land about Jesus.

And then in verse 27 while Jesus was leaving two blind men heard about the miracle and started following Jesus saying thou son of David have mercy on us. Matthew 9:28 says that they followed Jesus into the house!!! They were blind and had sense enough to follow Jesus into the House.

I’ve got a question Where did the blind men follow Jesus to Y’all ? Into the House.. The blessings are in the House. Everything you need is in the house

But the criteria for receiving the blessing is to have faith in God. Jesus said to the blind man do you’ll believe that I can heal you? And immediately they answered yes and immediately Jesus touched their eyes and they both were healed.. You know what that means, that means what God did for one person He can do for another. God can heal anybody God fix anything God can restore everything back better than it was before…

I’ve got a question for Pilgrim BC “Is there anything too hard for God”? Because the text clearly explains that Jesus is encountering harder deeper more sinister levels of opposition. Jesus has to deal with demons now. In verse 32 They brought a man with a dumb spirit and Jesus cast the demon out of the man and the man was calm, cool, and collected and closed in his right mind. Everybody marvelled at the miracle. They said we never saw anything like this.

We’ve never seen nobody make the lame to walk the dumb to talk the deaf to hear give sight to the blind cast out demons, raised the dead, and preach and teach the word of God like Jesus.

They said We’ve never seen it on this fashion before. And the bible says in verse 36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.

37 Then Jesus saith to his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; 38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest. um um

Let me close here today with this prayer. Lord please send the laborers back home to take care of your church Amen

Oh Lord We need you JESUS to come and see about your Church. because we were a people scattered and having no Shepherd. But The Lord is my Shepherd and I shall not want Oh Lord.

God in the personality of Jesus Christ fashioned Himself as the Great Shepherd of the Sheep. And the Lamb of God demonstrates, the plan of Salvation of Lord. John 3:16 says For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believe in the Lamb that had already been slain for mankind, he would be saved and have everlasting life.

So Jesus is the Shepherd and the Shepherd says to His church It’s Time for the sheep (to the Pilgrim Baptist church) to come back home. It’s time to come back home and heal our hurts and have a good time worshipping and praising the Lord.

“That’s what the Lord told me to tell you today”. Because Jesus came to make the lame to walk the dumb to talk the deaf to hear and to raise the dead Jesus came to save our soul make us whole to pick us up turn us around put our feet on solid ground Oh yes He did.

His name is Jesus Jesus Jesus and the More I call on Him the better I feel. The Shepherd said it’s time to come back home because Jesus is Alpha and then he’s Omega He’s the beginning and then He’s the ending He’s the first and then He’s the last. Jesus is my Bread in a starving land,He’s my Rock in the wearied He’s shelter in the time of a storm. He’s my Doctor in the sick room Oh yes He is. He healed my body and I’ll stand up and tell the world about the wonderful Savior that I’ve found.

Is there anybody here that Know my Jesus Because One Friday yes they took my Lord and your God and lead Him on Up Calvary’s Hill They hung Him on the cross and He died 3x They put Him Down in Joseph’s new tomb. But early Sunday morning 8th Ain’t He Alright Ain’t He 7th Al right 2x Today
