Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet Before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord:
And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, And the heart of the children to their fathers, Lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.
Introduction
The word “Turn” Means to restore. We know that the first part of verse 6 was fulfilled in John the Baptist’s ministry.
And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.
Malachi 4 and all of it is supposed to return right back again, Him again come down and identify Himself in a prophetic Message, to turn the hearts of the children back to the Faith, apostolic, Pentecostal Faith of the fathers.
That’s exactly what is supposed to be done. Not some creed; but back to the original Faith. 64-0617 - The Identified Christ Of All Ages
(The open Book of Revelation 10:1-7 would do that.)
It will be these Divinely revealed “mystery-truths” that literally turn the hearts of the children to the Pentecostal fathers. CAB 09 - Laodicean
I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?
“Will I find the Faith?” Will Malachi 4 be fulfilled in this time, “Restore the Faith of the children, back to the Faith of the fathers, the original, the Word”? 65-0725M - The Anointed Ones At The End Time
Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
A lot of folks say they want the old time religion, but what they are talking about is a memory they have. They want to be restored to their own memory of how things were. that is not our promise, our promise is to be restored back to the original.
41 Now if we looked around, tonight, and we’d go back to some of these great churches, all the way down through the age, and say “this is it, this is it,” if you don’t watch, we’ll be walking in a glare instead of a Light. We’re looking at something that passed, years past, looking back.
42 Any man who drives the road, looking through the rearview mirror, will wreck up.
43 Look forward! Look where you’re going to. Look where you’re going, not what you come from.
64-0318 - Sir, We Would See Jesus
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
45 When, we’re commanded to look forward, keep going on. Their prophesy happened in their days, this happens in this day, and the next happens in the next day. It’s allotted out, to the end time.
And there is things that’s supposed to be going on now, according to the Scripture, the Holy Spirit on earth, poured out upon the people. 64-0318 - Sir, We Would See Jesus
The heart is the seat of emotions. The innermost being. To restore the heart would be to make the heart desire of the children the same as their fathers.
A real Revelation of this Message will not turn your head to a different theology, but it will change your desires.
We are not to be restored back to ancient customs, but to an original faith, and that original faith will produce a real Christian in 2022, as well as a real church.
I want to focus on the church. This church. What kind of church should we be, seeing that we are fully restored to the original faith? To find out we need to look at what the original faith in them produced, as a church.
We could go to Restoration of the Bride Tree, or Five Definite Identifications of the True Church of the Living God to do this, but since we have looked at those sermons fairly recently, lets go to the Scripture and see what we can learn from Acts Chapters 2, 3 and 4, looking specifically at what happened when they were gathered together as a church.
A Spirit Filled Church
And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
The building was full of the Spirit of God.
And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.
This had an old testament precedent. every place where God was there was a physical sense of His presence in the building.
The Tabernacle.
And Moses was not able to enter into the tent of the congregation, because the cloud abode thereon, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.
The Temple
And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place, that the cloud filled the house of the Lord,
So that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of the Lord.
Now when Solomon had made an end of praying, the fire came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the Lord filled the house.
And the priests could not enter into the house of the Lord, because the glory of the Lord had filled the Lord’s house.
Isaiah’s vision
In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.
Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.
And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: The whole earth is full of his glory.
And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.
Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts.
There was no Shekinah in Herod’s temple, no sense of His presence.
It got so bad Jesus had to clear it out twice.
And the Jews’ passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem,
And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting:
And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers’ money, and overthrew the tables;
And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father’s house an house of merchandise.
And his disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up.
He does it again at the end of His ministry.
And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves;
And would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple.
And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.
If satan can’t disrupt the church one way he’ll do it another way.
How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.
If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret.
But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.
Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge.
If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace.
For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted.
And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.
For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.
And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.
What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only?
If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.
But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant.
Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.
Let all things be done decently and in order.
