Romans 13:8 “Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law.”
America is a nation in debt. As we sit here today America is 28.43 trillion dollars of federal debt.
The average American has 92,727 dollars in debt.
“If the Word taught me anything, it taught me to have no connection with debt. I could not think that God was poor, that He was short in resources, or unwilling to supply any want of whatever work was really His. It seemed to me that if there were lack of funds to carry on work, then to that degree, in that special development, or at that time, it could not be the work of God.” Hudson Taylor
God will not give you a vision without His provision.
Let no debt to remain outstanding. ( Literally don’t keep on owing debt.
The only debt we should have is to Love One Another.
Also we could be indebted by our words.
How many times have you heard......
“ Hey we should hang out”
“Call me if you need anything”
“ I’m gonna pray for you”
You never hang out, you never call, and you never pray.
The more you make empty promise you drive yourself into more and more debt with man to where you words are null and void. And you destroy your name.
You destroy your name when you have indebted words
Proverbs 22:1 “A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, Loving favor rather than silver and gold.”
Or maybe we make promises to God.
I will never open up another credit card. As soon as you go to Macy’s
I’m going to read the Bible in a year.
When I hit the lottery I’m gonna give 10% to the church.
As soon as you hit the lottery you are looking like this. Forgot all about God
Ecc. 5:2 “Do not be rash with your mouth, And let not your heart utter anything hastily before God. For God is in heaven, and you on earth; Therefore let your words be few.”
rash- means to be quick to speech.
Ecc. 5:3 “For a dream comes through much activity, And a fool’s voice is known by his many words.”
Ecc. 5:4 “When you make a vow to God, do not delay to pay it; For He has no pleasure in fools. Pay what you have vowed—”
Its foolish to make a vow is you have no desire to follow through.
Ecc. 5:5 “Better not to vow than to vow and not pay.”
Matt 5:33-37 ““Again you have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not swear falsely, but shall perform your oaths to the Lord.’ But I say to you, do not swear at all: neither by heaven, for it is God’s throne; nor by the earth, for it is His footstool; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King. Nor shall you swear by your head, because you cannot make one hair white or black. But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ For whatever is more than these is from the evil one.”
So the Pharisees would make oaths. That they where swear on Jerusalem, on heaven, by earth , even on there own heads.
They would argue that since God Himself had not been involved their oaths were not binding.
They would give themselves a out. to renege on there commitments.
The fact that you have to used oath reveals the wickedness of mans heart.
Plus everything that they sweared upon is Gods anyway so it actually was binding. So they had no right to swear on those things.
“The Lord was saying one’s life should be sufficient to back up one’s words.”
if you say you love God but destroying His church. You have character issues.
Why won’t you be the one to defend the church instead of agreeing with the world about how awful the church is.
You will bury your brothers and sisters and hold hands with satan.
Your more critical of the church then satan, then the world.
Stop criticizing and be the change you want to see.
Sometimes it like we are walk with Satan and showing him around the church
- And satans like yes please tell me more .
Sometimes your right but how your right is wrong.
Don’t forget that Satan is the accuser of the brethren. Rev.21:10
James 5:12 “But above all, my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath. But let your “Yes” be “Yes,” and your “No,” “No,” lest you fall into judgment.”
Romans 13:8 “Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law.”
Romans 13:9 “For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not bear false witness,” “You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.””
Romans 13:10 “Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.”
The acting out of the law doesn’t fulfill the law. But love does.
Because love not only prevent you from violating the law but it addresses the motivation.
Love must still remain the root that springs up all your actions .
