Acts 19:5-6 “On hearing this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they began speaking in tongues and prophesying.” “On hearing this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.”
(Point 3.).1 Cor 14.1-5
Pursue love, and earnestly desire the spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy. For one who speaks in a tongue speaks not to men but to God; for no one understands him, but he utters mysteries in the Spirit. On the other hand, the one who prophesies speaks to people for their upbuilding and encouragement and consolation. The one who speaks in a tongue builds up himself, but the one who prophesies builds up the church. Now I want you all to speak in tongues, but even more to prophesy. The one who prophesies is greater than the one who speaks in tongues, unless someone interprets, so that the church may be built up.
On hearing this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. When Paul placed his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in tongues and prophesied.
Moving in the prophetic: a leaders guide
How to lead when and bring a prophetic edge to your faith and leadership.
HOW DO I GET A WORD & GIVE A WORD? How do we Move in this beautiful thing called the Gift of Holy Spirit prophecy in our church and in our lives:
1.FIRST, BE FILLED UP:
1.FIRST, BE FILLED UP:
“On hearing this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they began speaking in tongues and prophesying.”
Truth: you can’t move in the spirit of your not full of the spirit!
So what do you do? You ASK: You can pray and ask God to guve you this part of the ministry of the holy spiritual. Ask to be able to
Encourage you with my story: I remember teh date I was saved, Jan 6 2002. I also have the date I was baptized which was april of the same year so with a fe months I was baptized in water.... the only date I dont have, is teh date I was baptized and filled with the HS for the very first time. I wish I had that date because I remember it vividly. I was in connect group and we were going around praying for each other to
Were gonna talk about how you give a word in a moment
But 1st things first - You gotta be full of the Holy Spirit to Ever be able to Minister the gifts of the Spirit!
2.THEN, WORK ON YOUR AIM
2.THEN, WORK ON YOUR AIM
anyone can shoot a gun, Not everyone has aim.
How do we have good aim? We know the word. The MORE YOU READ THE WORD THE BETTER YOUR AIM WILL BE
When you have scripture living at the top.....Of the surface it’s easy to use it. It’s just there. It’s good to go. You have something available immediately
Youll be able to step out prophetically and build someone up with a targeted word from the Living WORD (the Lord) which is coming from THE WORD Which is the written word. The written word gives us aim. So ones prayer!
&finally.
3.FINALLY, STEP OUT IN FAITH
3.FINALLY, STEP OUT IN FAITH
(AND BE A BUILDER OF PEOPLES LIVES (bc that’s what leaders do).
This is how we as leaders move in the prophetic there are three things you have to remember when you are stepping out: Jon Finochio’s guide on prophetic ministry!
BUILD UP / STIR UP / CHEER UP.
1 Cor 14:1-5 “Pursue love, and earnestly desire the spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy. The one who prophesies is greater than the one who speaks in tongues, unless someone interprets, so that the church may be built up.”
So the guidelines for us as we do this:
Does it Build up the body? Is it overall going to build their life and help them step into their own calling?
Does it stir up faith? Is the persons faith going to be stirred up?
Does it cheer up the person? Will it make them happy?
