Where Is Your Confidence?

Introduction

Text: Php 3:1-14

Where is your confidence in this life?

Our beloved who has passed on had a firm fixation on Jesus. That’s where her confidence was.

The word confidence speaks to:

Being fully persuaded of

A firm reliance in

I believe if we have to make heaven our home we need to put our confidence/trust/dependence in Jesus Christ.

The problem. . .

There are other things that I can put my confidence in that may not necessarily lead me closer to Christ.

For the opposers, they put their confidence in their Heritage and Achievements

Php 3:3-4 “for we are the true circumcision, who worship in the Spirit of God and glory in Christ Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh, although I myself might have confidence even in the flesh. If anyone else has a mind to put confidence in the flesh, I far more:”

Paul is saying I have MORE to boast about but. . .I found something better!
