Luke 16:19–31 KJV 1900
There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house: For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

Introduction

There are somethings that should be obvious to us as believers. In fact there are some things that even Hell because they are so universally true.

Clarity Of Vision

Proverbs 29:18 KJV 1900
Where there is no vision, the people perish: But he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
Mark 6:34 KJV 1900
And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.
Hell clearly sees Hell
Hell clearly desires Heaven
We need to clearly see Hell
We need to clearly see Heaven

Cries Of Supplication

Hell cries out from regret
Psalm 137:1–9 KJV 1900
By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, When we remembered Zion. We hanged our harps Upon the willows in the midst thereof. For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; And they that wasted us required of us mirth, Saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion. How shall we sing the Lord’s song In a strange land? If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, Let my right hand forget her cunning. If I do not remember thee, Let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth; If I prefer not Jerusalem above my chief joy. Remember, O Lord, the children of Edom in the day of Jerusalem; Who said, Rase it, rase it, even to the foundation thereof. O daughter of Babylon, who art to be destroyed; Happy shall he be, that rewardeth thee As thou hast served us. Happy shall he be, that taketh And dasheth thy little ones against the stones.
Hell cries out for mercy
Psalm 126:5–6 KJV 1900
They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.
We should cry out for and to those who will end up regretting they went to Hell
We should cry out in and for mercy for those who will end up in Hell

Concern For Suffering

We should be concerned about the suffering in Hell.
Those in Hell are and will suffer in fire
Luke 16:24 KJV 1900
And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
Those in Hell will and are suffering the realization of man’s worst fear… they are separated from God and His goodness.
Those in Hell are and will forever suffer separation from Godin fire.
Luke 16:26 KJV 1900
And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.

Complete Seperation

Luke 16:26 KJV 1900
And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.
2 Corinthians 6:14–17 KJV 1900
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
The Believers are where they are supposed to be
The Unbelievers are no longer in the way of the Believers and their true desire.

Concern For The Lost

Luke 16:27–28 KJV 1900
Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house: For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.
Even those in Hell want to reach the lost on earth
Even those in Hell know the lost need someone to testify to them.
They don’t need a sermon or a preacher they just need a concerned believer who will speak to them.

Correct Salvation

Hell knows that they should have turned to Christ.
Luke 16:30 KJV 1900
And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.
Hell knows that Heaven requires a resurrection they just got the who wrong.
Luke 16:31 KJV 1900
And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

Conclusion

If Hell knows these things it would be a shame if we didn’t take their advice.
