Introduction
Good Morning,
Katie and I are grateful to be with you all this Sunday.
Already we’ve met some amazing people and have truly been blessed by your hospitality!
Thank you for welcoming us to your church.
Before I jump into the message for today, I thought I would give you a brief look into the lives of the VanZandbeeks.
As you know, my name is Joshua, my wife Katie and our 4 month old son Jonathan are right over here.
We hail from Edmonton, Alberta, and we are both Bible college students and pastors just finishing up our degrees from Vanguard College.
We’re excited to be with, see what God is doing here, and get to know you all.
So, that’s a little about us! We’ll be looking forward to getting to know more of you for the rest of our stay here!
So, back in August I was thinking about sermon writing for an assignment I had on the go.
Somehow, my mind wandered and I ended up looking up news on the growing popularity of the Queen of Canada.
Not Queen Elizabeth, but rather Ramona Didulo.
She’s been a political activist for quite a while, but recently has proclaimed herself “queen” and begun to travel and promote her self-proclaimed sovereignty.
At first, it was nothing more than a social media rumour.
However, lately it has transferred into the here and now.
Her supporters have begun to stage different protests, some have been arrested… it’s a bit of a mess.
The news is calling on the government to keep a close eye on her as her support grows.
