Ver.15-20 Restoring a Brother

Ver.15
Matthew 5:3
“3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”
Matthew 5:5
“5 Blessed are the meek, For they shall inherit the earth.”
Matthew 5:7
“7 Blessed are the merciful, For they shall obtain mercy.”
Matthew 5:8
“8 Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God.”
Matthew 5:9
“9 Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God.”
Ephesians 4:15
“15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ—”
Ver.16
Proverbs 18:17
“17 The first one to plead his cause seems right, Until his neighbor comes and examines him.”
Deuteronomy 19:15-19
“15 “One witness shall not rise against a man concerning any iniquity or any sin that he commits; by the mouth of two or three witnesses the matter shall be established.
16 If a false witness rises against any man to testify against him of wrongdoing,
17 then both men in the controversy shall stand before the Lord, before the priests and the judges who serve in those days.
18 And the judges shall make careful inquiry, and indeed, if the witness is a false witness, who has testified falsely against his brother,
19 then you shall do to him as he thought to have done to his brother; so you shall put away the evil from among you.”
Ver.17
1 Corinthians 5:1-8
“1 It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and such sexual immorality as is not even named among the Gentiles—that a man has his father’s wife!
2 And you are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he who has done this deed might be taken away from among you.
3 For I indeed, as absent in body but present in spirit, have already judged (as though I were present) him who has so done this deed.
4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when you are gathered together, along with my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,
5 deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
6 Your glorying is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump?
7 Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us.
8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.”

Ver. 21-35 The Parable of the Unforgiving Servant

Ver.35
Luke 17:4
“4 And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns to you, saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him.””
Luke 6:35-38
“35 But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil.
36 Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful.
37 “Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.
38 Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.””
James 2:12-13
“12 So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty.
13 For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.”
