King James Version (Psalm 35)
A Psalm of David: 1 Plead my cause, O LORD, with them that strive with me:Fight against them that fight against me.
King David writes this Psalm, yet let us look at a couple things Christ Jesus teaches: we are to love our enemies; we are to do good to those who hate us; we do not overcome hate with more hate, but we overcome hate with love, that is, with the righteousness of the Heavenly Father. Still, when David fought against his enemies, it was because God our Heavenly Father was cleaning the earth of a polluted people; remember, what God the Heavenly Father told Abraham, all these lands I will give you, but the time of fulfillment has not yet come to these people -- they have not run their course. Then when Joshua came in and cleaned out the polluted people of Jericho and all the land that God have given to the Jacob-Israelites, the Abraham-Israelites, these people had run their course and God commissioned the Israelites to clean the land of this pollution. Still, in the age of Christ Jesus, we must not deceive ourselves, for we are no longer under the law, but the law is made manifest in the spirit, and yes -- the wheat and the tares will grow together and then at harvest, Christ Jesus will separate the wheat from the chaff -- burning the chaff in an unquenchable fire, but the wheat he, our Lord Christ Jesus will bring unto himself in his Heavenly Kingdom. Amen.
