Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
Introduction.
Introduction.
I didn’t know Sister Jean as a young woman, when we met her body was already broken by Parkinson’s disease, but she always wanted her home to be nice.
(Broom shoes)
A few years ago Sister Jean and Bro. Robert bought a house, they fixed it up so nice, I’ve always been amazed by it. It’s so pleasant.
She would work in the kitchen, try to clean and cook. She wanted it to be more than just a place she lived. She wanted a home.
The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;
That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,
To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.
“Keepers at home” (v. 5) literally is “home-workers” or “homemakers.”
There is something about a Godly woman, she wants to have a home, and to be a homemaker.
She looketh well to the ways of her household, And eateth not the bread of idleness.
Her children arise up, and call her blessed; Her husband also, and he praiseth her.
Many daughters have done virtuously, But thou excellest them all.
Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: But a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.
Give her of the fruit of her hands; And let her own works praise her in the gates.
She is a homemaker. That is a derogatory term in the modern era of feminism, but it is exactly what God has made her to be and to do.
Jesus spoke of a home and a household.
In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
Just like you prepared a place for the coming of your children, He has prepared a place for you.
The Word House is actually “household”. Not a brick and mortar house but a family. Mansions is “dwelling places”.
“In My Father’s household there are many dwelling places”
Many kinds of dwelling places.
I don’t believe that when we get to Heaven that we will be, just everybody look just exactly alike. I don’t believe that all will be blondes, or brunettes, or little, or all big, or all giants.
I believe that God is a God of variety. The world proves that. He’s got big mountains and little mountains. He’s got plains. He’s got deserts. He’s got different things, because He made it the way He wanted it.
And He made the seasons; summer, winter, spring, autumn. It shows He’s a God of variety. He made you in a variety. Some men are real blusterous; and some are real dogmatic; and others are fine; others are kind. And you just find all different kinds of people, in His Kingdom. 65-1205 - Things That Are To Be
This life is only a preview of one to come. Everything here only speaks of something there, but it will be perfect.
When you see a man here, struggling to live, somebody in a hospital, or on a sickbed, or in a accident, struggling, and the death rattle is in their throat, and pulling, and crying, and screaming for life, what does that mean? There’s a place, somewhere, there’s a body that doesn’t struggle and scream for that.
65-1205 - Things That Are To Be
We read this at the graveside for Sis. Jean.
For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
We used to think that when we left here we just went to a place where our spirits floated like clouds, but He said “we have a building of God”. Bro. Branham saw that in a vision.
Well, it isn’t perfect; it’s beyond perfect. It’s not sublime; it’s beyond sublime. There is no name can…You can’t think…There ain’t no words in the vocabulary to say it. You’ve just arrived, that’s all. 63-0322 - The Fifth Seal
Sis. Jean’s house is already finished. Her heavenly father had a picture in His mind of her in the perfect condition that He wanted her to be. He put that in his photo album before the world was ever formed.
Why did she have to suffer? To prepare her character for that house.
For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
We are here waiting on our change. She has hers.
Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
Bro. Robert asked me to read this quote, it fits so well right here:
37 So, it brings joy to the heart of the waiter that’s waiting on the Coming of the Lord, and the blessed hour that when these old vile bodies shall be changed and made like unto His Own glorious body. And we shall see Him.
No more struggle, no more sorrow, no more old age, no more infinite days, no more hunger, no more worry, no more sickness, no more death.
38 Oh, we just can’t fathom! I’m telling you, friend! It’s hard because we’re human, and death is such a thing that we all hate to face it. But it’s a blessed relief, it’s a blessed thing, to know that He’ll come someday, and these things will be changed. 57-0407M - God Keeps His Word

Conclusion.
Sis. Jean was ready for her new home. Are you? If you’re not, Jesus is the Way, The Truth and the Life. Ask Him to make His home in you, while we pray.
