Be Determined-LUKE 18:35-43

You Must BE DETERMINED:

To overcome when facing the difficulties of life.

To march ahead with faith towards the victory God has promised.

To be a follower of Jesus Christ.

In today’s message - Be Determined to RECOGNIZE; REQUEST; REVERENCE

BE DETERMINED TO RECOGNIZE (JESUS) 35-38

The blind beggar RECOGNIZED Jesus (but the crowd did not.)

Your CONDITION does not DETERMINE your CONVICTION.

“Going to church all my life. Why don’t I RECOGNIZE Him.”

Recognize Him for who He really is.

BE DETERMINED TO REQUEST (JESUS) 39-41

THE Crowd YELLED at the blind man to SHUT UP.

But the shout of “Son of David, Have Mercy On Me” compelled Jesus to order the blind man be brought to Him.

Never allow the FICKLED to DETERMINE your FAITH.

The blind beggar was asked “What do you want me to do for you?”

He could have asked for money; for A job; for A spouse; for something without being specific.

Do you know what you want?

“Lord, I want to see.”

Jesus said “OK, if that’s what you want. RECEIVE IT!”

BE DETERMINED TO REVERENCE (JESUS) 42

After his sight is restored...Notice the action - He Followed Jesus. That was his determination-to REVERENCE Jesus as LORD.

He PRAISED God. That was his determination.

He Reverenced Him unlike the 9 lepers.

CLOSE: Are you DETERMINED?

TO RECOGNIZE...He’s not just the God who gets me out of trouble, He the God who keeps me when trouble comes my way. TROUBLES IN MY WAY...

TO REQUEST...I’ve been ready to give it to you, but you didn’t ask. ASK THE SAVIOR TO HELP YOU...

TO REVERENCE…LIVE TO GIVE HIM GLORY SO THAT OTHERS WILL KNOW WHO HE IS.
