Romans 8:31-39
Romans 8:31-39
31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth.
34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
it is in the “giving of his Son” “for us” that God’s love is preeminently shown; and God’s love for us is not simply an “emotion” but his gracious action on our behalf

38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
31 God is “on our side,” that he is working “for” us. If this be so, Paul asks, “who is against us

nobody—and no “thing”—can ultimately harm, or stand in the way of, the one whom God is “for

Yet those that be against us, so far are they from thwarting us at all, that even without their will they become to us the causes of crowns, and procurers of countless blessings, in that God’s wisdom turneth their plots unto our salvation and glory.
what has gotten between you and God?
we cliam nothing but
2co 13:5 “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?”
we have a lotof issues and we except God to move for us
We play games and think that’s how it is suppose to go but we better line up with the word
We don’t want to be subject to nobody
1 peter 5:5 “Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.”
we can’t follow instruction and we think we are running things
We need humility
1peter 5:6 “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:”
It is time to realize who we belong to
How many of you want to go forward?
