The LORD will bring our suffering to an end before long...

A believers suffering is only temporary, the Lord will deliver them.

Every Christian can say this- we have experienced this spiritually, we also experience through out our Christian walk. We will experience this when we face the final enemy. We can be sure we will experience this whatever trials we may face.
The unbeliever cannot make this comfort. But God calls you to himself, he offers you this in the gospel.
II. Be comforted by David’s call to worship v.4-5

David calls others to praise the LORD. He proclaims God’s goodness The LORD is faithful
Outburst of praise- he pauses addressing the LORD and calls others to praise the LORD for his goodness and grace.
v.4 praise the Lord you his people- Why? Because you enjoy God’s goodness.
v.5 reason for praise- God is faithful and isn’t angry forever. His goodness is for ever his displeasure is momentary.
Judge not the Lord by feeble sense,
But trust Him for His grace;
Behind a frowning providence
He hides a smiling face.
His purposes will ripen fast,
Unfolding every hour:
The bud may have a bitter taste,
But sweet will be the flower.

David is addressing us. We should praise the LORD and give thanks because this is how the LORD deals with us. Yes he chastens us but it is for our good and for his glory. It is for a little while, his favour is forever.
Listen to what David reminds us about God. Are you suffering? Weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning. Let us remember though David says this to the saints.
For the unbeliever it’s the other way round. Joy is temporary weeping will be forever. But Jesus says Come to me, all you who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest.

will the dust praise you- The LORD will lose a worshipper on the earth.

Is there pride in our hearts? Have we become self dependent?
Perhaps you are in the middle of suffering- cry out to the LORD, depend on him. He will deliver you.
Perhaps you have experienced his deliverance- Praise him
V.11 will be our anthem through eternity- This is heaven. This is what Christ has done. He has turned out mourning into dancing. This is what he has done for our souls.
