24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: 25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. 26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. 27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? 28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? 29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off.

As I read this Psalm the parable of the wheat and the tares came to mind. I see, Jesus explain in the parable, what David spoke in this Psalm: those who are blessed by God will inherit his kingdom, while those who are cursed by God will receive the reward of eternal damnation, eternal judgment and condemnation.
Now the stakes are clearly not the same, for when David is speaking -- but let us first remember what God told Abraham: those who bless you will be blessed and those who curse you will be cursed -- so David is talking of the Philistines or Saul, or one of his son’s who was trying to rule, Israel-judah, in King David place; however, when Christ Jesus is speaking the stakes are much higher than the lands of the middle east, for the stakes are our eternal souls -- Jesus sending the reapers: gather all the weeds, the tares, together and bundle, bind and burn them, while the wheat, the repentant individual, the reapers will gather into Christ Jesus’ barn, that being, the kingdom of heaven....
Let us also remember and consider: what is it worth for a individual to gain the whole, the entire earth, but to lose their souls: so this witness statement teaches us that our souls are worth more to God than the entire earth.
On another facet of human behavior we will see that so people put more value on a big watch or a car or a big house then they do upon their own soul, and to that Christ Jesus teaches no person can serve two masters: we cannot serve mammon and God Matthew 6:24 and Luke 16:13.
