Joseph's brothers didn't know it, but when they were so down in the jail, they had begun the wonderful process of repentance that would end in great joy. Paul's experience with the Corinthians shows us the same thing. Churches and individuals, need to understand that God's purpose in godly sorrow is repentance unto salvation. It is a precious gift.
