What is influence

Google: “the capacity to have an effect on the character, development, or behavior of someone or something, or the effect itself.”

If you are influenced by the World:

you dress like the world

you you talk like the world

gossip , lies, belittling, crude words,

you act like the world

Always seeking entertainment,

Pursuing riches

Pursuing fame

Consumed in a sex obsessed world

If you are influenced by Jesus

you love others

you love your brothers and sisters

you love God

you spend time with God

Proverbs 6:16–19 NLT

16 There are six things the Lord hates— no, seven things he detests: 17 haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that kill the innocent, 18 a heart that plots evil, feet that race to do wrong, 19 a false witness who pours out lies, a person who sows discord in a family.

A follower of Jesus doesn't continue to do what God hates

a Follower of Jesus as Phil 2:12 says works out your own salvation with fear and trembling

If you have been talking negatively about another brother or sister

you literally have directly gone against Jesus

Jesus said to love your brothers and sisters

He didnt give many commands

so to contintue to make fun of, gossip, mock, be little, not include, lie, any of your brothers of sisters here

means your no follower of Jesus

but if you are and are guilty of those things

You need to be sorry

you need to either apologize

or make your actions right

maybe you says its not me its someone else

but you entertain it with listening to it

James 4:17 NKJV

17 Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.

Romans 1:32 NLT

32 They know God’s justice requires that those who do these things deserve to die, yet they do them anyway. Worse yet, they encourage others to do them, too.

letting someone else belittle, gossip, not incluide, lie, cheat, lust,

is your own sin too!

1 John 2:15–17 NKJV

15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. 17 And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.

Where is your influence?

is it from the world or from the WORD

how do you talk and act?

does it sound like Jesus?

is what you do like Jesus?

By reading Gods Word, praying, fellowshipping with other brothers ans sisters

you make your influence God

By not choosing to be influenced by God you choose the world and

if you love the world the Love of of God is not in you

pay attention how you talk,

pay attention to what you do,

It matters, its recorded, it will be judged.
