In step with the Holy Spirit

A direct continuation of Pastor Jon’s message

Are you walking with the Holy Spirit?

1. Remain

2. Recognize

3. Know

More of the direct application of what it takes to walk in step with the Holy Spirit individually and collectively as a church.

In Step with the Holy Spirit

Acts 16:1-5

Give up our rights – individually and collectively

Timothy endured physical pain for effectiveness

Can you imagine the conversation waiting outside the synagogue?

Sometimes you have to do what you do not want to do in order to accomplish His will.

Sometimes you sacrifice for the good of the team.

I hate running alone but I did it for the cheerleader squad

I loved running in the Army

Increased daily

Where will we be if God gives us just one person per day?

Acts 16:6-10

We have to give up our desires, plans and thoughts

Paul always had a plan

he had to surrender that to God

God intended someone else to go there

1 Peter 1:1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, To God’s elect, exiles scattered throughout the provinces of Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia and Bithynia,

Paul's team went to Troas to wait for God’s guidance

One person’s vision became the direction for the team

The whole team bought tickets and set sail

Acts 16:11-15

New place - knew no one

Used natural connections (Judaism) to get started

God used our natural connection with the Hungarian church to get IBCD started

He may be asking us to to use the same connection for our next step

Call to action: Quiet contemplation

What is God asking you to give up in order to be to be more effective?

What desires, plans and thoughts is God asking you to surrender to Him?

What vision is God giving you for our church?

Are you willing to get on the boat with us?

What connections do you have to connect people to Jesus?
