Paul’s letter to the Thessalonians
Sunday August 27th 2022
The Revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ
2 Thessalonians 1:6–12 (NASB95) — 6 For after all it is only just for God to repay with affliction those who afflict you, 7 and to give relief to you who are afflicted and to us as well when the Lord Jesus will be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels in flaming fire,
God keeps perfect books. God keeps perfect Scales. One side of the scales is accounts payable. It may be in Judgment, or it may be in blessing. The other side of the scales or books is the accounts receivable. God is the Judge and prior to the closing of the history record of this current world every promised blessing will be fulfilled and the judgment for every sin including that against the righteous, ( God is the avenger), will be answered for.
When will this be? What is the elect waiting for?
when the Lord Jesus will be revealed from heaven
28.38 ἀποκαλύπτω; ἀποκάλυψις, εως f: (figurative extensions of meaning of ἀποκαλύπτω and ἀποκάλυψις ‘to uncover, to take out of hiding,’ to cause something to be fully known—‘to reveal, to disclose, to make fully known, revelation.’[1]
History is building up to the final show down and what we are witnessing in our world all over the world is that stage is Daniel 7:11 (NASB95) — 11 “Then I kept looking because of the sound of the boastful words which the horn was speaking; I kept looking until the beast was slain, and its body was destroyed and given to the burning fire.
being set for that show down.

There will come during the time a false Messiah, the antichrist. The one who Daniel spoke of in Daniel 9 It is one whom Satan has been looking for from the beginning, from Nimrod to Antiochus Epiphanes to Hitler. All close but this next one that comes folks, may very well be it.

He will proclaim to be God, in fact this one will have in his heart the same bold stance as did Pharoah of Egypt
Exodus 5:2 (NASB95) — 2 But Pharaoh said, “Who is the Lord that I should obey His voice…
Then comes the return of the Lord. Here comes the one who will separate the wheat from the Chaff. The one, man who had either chose to worship or to mock. He is the revealed living word to do all that had promised and said that he would.
Those on this earth during the short reign of the anti-Christ this earth will be a nightmare come true.
For those without the hope of the return of Christ they will have nothing to look forward to. There will be nothing but a dismal perpetual existence for every man woman and child who are not a part of the world’s elite class, and somehow it will probably be blamed on the Jews.
Our hope continues to be with the resurrected Christ.
Can you answer Pharoah to whom this God is that he should listen?
Psalm 2:1–3 (NASB95) — 1 Why are the nations in an uproar And the peoples devising a vain thing? 2 The kings of the earth take their stand And the rulers take counsel together Against the Lordand against His Anointed, saying, 3 “Let us tear their fetters apart And cast away their cords from us!”
Oh, how proud world leaders are this day. The Kings of the world, the elite who are dedicated to this one world regime who are investing their lives even their eternal lives. They have sold their souls and they have pledged their allegiance
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the world economic forum
And to the dictatorship for which it stands
One world system under Satan and his anti-Christ with oppression and totalism for all, under the elite
And what is our God and King doing at this very moment
Psalm 2:4 (NASB95) —4 He who sits in the heavens laughs, The Lord scoffs at them.
Why is the Lord laughing?
Because of the foolishness that man rises to that thinks that his feeble plans can deter the highest in the very least.
While the Lord is laughing the kings of this earth continue their foolishness until the Lord stops laughing.
5 Then He will speak to them in His anger And terrify them in His fury, saying, 6 “But as for Me, I have installed My King Upon Zion, My holy mountain.” 7 “I will surely tell of the decree of the Lord: He said to Me, ‘You are My Son, Today I have begotten You. 8 ‘Ask of Me, and I will surely give the nations as Your inheritance, And the very ends of the earth as Your possession. 9 ‘You shall break them with a rod of iron, You shall shatter them like earthenware.’ ”
There is no longer a gray area which the so-called Christian moderates, the Carnal Christian and those who are moral and those who want to remain neutral for there is no neutrality. You are either one of those Christ worshippers or you are allied with the darkness following the kings of this world.
Psalm 2:10–12 (NASB95) — 10 Now therefore, O kings, show discernment; Take warning, O judges of the earth. 11 Worship the Lord with reverence and rejoice with trembling. 12 Do homage to the Son, that He not become angry, and you perish in the way, For His wrath may soon be kindled. How blessed are all who take refuge in Him!
This is our Joshua day. This is the day that we choose our allegiance.
Joshua 24:15 (NASB95) — 15 “If it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve:
For some in the world, they have already made their choice. Persecution for their faith is no stranger. While many, in some parts of the world, equate God’s blessing to material wealth, it is in other places that Christians equate being blessed to their suffering because they have been deemed by a just God as being worthy. For they know that the day is forthcoming that the Lord their God will reveal himself to their enemies just as he did with Pharoah and Egypt. The Plagues are coming again. But not just to a geographical part the world but to the whole world and they are coming in the form of trumpet and bowl Judgments.
2 Thessalonians 1:7 (NASB95) — 7 and to give relief to you who are afflicted and to us as well when the Lord Jesus will be revealed
ἀποκαλύπτω; ἀποκάλυψις, εως from heaven with His mighty angels in flaming fire,
This is Eschatology. This is the view of last of the last days when the Lord Jesus Christ shows his hand.
Revelation 1:1–3 (NASB95) — 1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show to His bond-servants, the things which must soon take place; and He sent and communicated it by His angel to His bond-servant John, 2 who testified to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, even to all that he saw. 3 Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and heed the things which are written in it; for the time is near.
“for the time is near?” Can ya’ll say AMEN to
25.119 μακάριος, α, ον: pertaining to being happy, with the implication of enjoying favorable [2]
The happy are those who have received and have responded to the message that Jesus Christ is our warrior King who have come to set the captives free.
Luke 4:18–19 (NASB95) — 18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim release to the captives, And recovery of sight to the blind, To set free those who are oppressed, 19 To proclaim the favorable year of the Lord.”
One thing is for sure. If the people living in the Land of Egypt in the time of the exodus did not know Yahweh, the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob, they certainly got acquainted with Him by time the tenth plague arrived.
The Kings of the world will know who they have been opposed to.
Revelation 1: 7 Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over Him. So it is to be. Amen. 8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”
And then all that these elite have worked so hard to build will comes down so rapidly when that stone comes out of heaven and crush the feet of that statue, and it all comes crumbling down Just as Daniel had interpreted the dream for Nebuchadnezzar.
When the Lamb begins to break the seals of the scrolls then that which will be unleashed upon this earth will make all other events in world history pale in comparison.
The First Seal—Rider on White Horse[3]
The Second Seal—War
The Third Seal—Famine
The Fourth Seal—Death
The Fifth Seal—Martyrs
The Sixth Seal—Terror
For those who say that the fulfillment of prophecy is passed history and was fulfilled during AD 70 with the destruction of the temple. Consider that what happened in Jerusalem was not even close to what is going to take place in the world which the Lord said if it was not cut short that no life would remain on this earth.
Revelation 6:12–17 (NASB95) — 12 I looked when He broke the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth made of hair, and the whole moon became like blood; 13 and the stars of the sky fell to the earth, as a fig tree casts its unripe figs when shaken by a great wind. 14 The sky was split apart like a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. 15 Then the kings of the earth and the great men and the commanders and the rich and the strong and every slave and free man hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains; 16 and they said to the mountains and to the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the presence of Him who sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb; 17 for the great day of their wrath has come, and who is able to stand?”
2 Thessalonians 1:7 (NASB95) — 7 and to give relief to you who are afflicted and to us as well when the Lord Jesus will be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels in flaming fire,
76.1 δύναμιςb, εως f: the potentiality to exert force in performing some function—‘power.’[4]
12.28 ἄγγελοςb, ου m: a supernatural being that attends upon or serves as a messenger of a superior supernatural entity—‘angel.’ [5]
Powerful angels
Daniel 7:2 (NASB95) — 2 Daniel said, “I was looking in my vision by night, and behold, the four winds of heaven were stirring up the great sea.
The noun is Ruach which means wind breath spirit. And what is the sea?
These are the gentile nations.
Revelation 7:1–3 (NASB95) — 1 After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth, so that no wind would blow on the earth or on the sea or on any tree. 2 And I saw another angel ascending from the rising of the sun, having the seal of the living God; and he cried out with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea, 3 saying, “Do not harm the earth or the sea or the trees until we have sealed the bond-servants of our God on their foreheads.”
Lot of activity going on in the unseen realm, Folks.
2 Thessalonians 1:7 (NASB95) — 7 and to give relief to you who are afflicted and to us as well when the Lord Jesus will be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels in flaming fire,
2.4 φλόξ, φλογός f: the burning vapor surrounding an object on fire—‘flame.’[6]
2.3 πῦρa, ός n—‘fire.’
Fire is the Judgment of God upon the Godless
Isaiah 66:15 (NASB95) — 15 For behold, the Lord will come in fire And His chariots like the whirlwind, To render His anger with fury, And His rebuke with flames of fire.
Ezekiel 1:13 (NASB95) — 13 In the midst of the living beings there was something that looked like burning coals of fire, like torches darting back and forth among the living beings. The fire was bright, and lightning was flashing from the fire.
Hebrews 10:27 (NASB95) — 27 but a terrifying expectation of judgment and the fury of a fire which will consume the adversaries.
Hebrews 12:29 (NASB95) — 29 for our God is a consuming fire.
2 Peter 3:7 (NASB95) — 7 But by His word the present heavens and earth are being reserved for fire, kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.
Jude 7 (NASB95) — 7 just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them, since they in the same way as these indulged in gross immorality and went after strange flesh, are exhibited as an example in undergoing the punishment of eternal fire.
Daniel 7:11 (NASB95) — 11 “Then I kept looking because of the sound of the boastful words which the horn was speaking; I kept looking until the beast was slain, and its body was destroyed and given to the burning fire.
Revelation 14:10 (NASB95) — 10 he also will drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is mixed in full strength in the cup of His anger; and he will be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.
Do you remember the account of Daniel’s four friends as they stood in the midst the fire and not burned and yet it consumed the guard. The three that was unscaved by the fire were those that were faithful to their deliver who refused to bend or yield
More and more in this age History is once again repeating itself.
Note the Daniel was not present. He was out of the picture. And it was faith of his three friends that we are observing. The same scenario is being played out right now. The question will be to bow to beast or to be cast into the furnace.
IN a lessor degree the Christian is threatened through history to deny the Christ bow a knee to whatever authority or suffer.
Is the Christian removed and Israel given new heart
