The Goal of Spiritual Growth

6th day of creation is not the ultimate day of creation (penultimate/second to last); not the final movement of creation

7th day is blessed

The goal for which man is created is holiness

Problem: We make God into our created image; idolatry.

We are not holy in of ourselves, but because God is holy, we are called to reflect that in the world.

Pure in heart will see God

The goal of our lives is to be conformed in the image of Christ.
