A PERSONAL GOD

Have you ever heard the audible voice of God? Sound crazy?

I thought I was going crazy when I heard it for the first time… It was in my ‘Grand Central Station’ apartment. There was so much traffic from my drug dealing, that I never really had any peace.

Until one night, no customers, and no drugs. Just quietness and a clear mind. It was peaceful, maybe to peaceful.

The TV was on, I was walking around my living room and there it came! A voice saying, “Come back to me!”. I pretended to ignore it, but 10 minutes later, the same audible phrase was heard again, “Come back to me!”.

This time I yelled back, like I knew what I was saying and to who I was saying it to, “I’m not ready to back to you!”. After yelling at Him like that, I thought I lost Him. I felt so empty. Little did I know His plan to get me back was put into motion.

Isaiah 43:1-3 (Message)

But now, GOD’s Message, the God who made you in the first place, the One who got you started:

“Don’t be afraid, I’ve redeemed you.

I’ve called your name. You’re mine.

When you’re in over your head, I’ll be there with you.

When you’re in rough waters, you will not go down.

When you’re between a rock and a hard place,

it won’t be a dead end—

Because I am GOD, your personal God.”

To know that you belong to a PERSONAL GOD, who calls you by name - You are His and He is yours!

Proverbs 29:18

Where there is no vision, the people perish: But he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

If this is true, then if our life will be nothing but chaos. You can build anything on that, especially your identity.

Heavenly Father is calling us to something greater then ourselves. Whether you hear His audible voice calling out to you, or His Holy Spirit speaking to your heart, or He is using someone close to you to speak to you…
