For I said, Hear me, lest otherwise they should rejoice over me: when my foot slippeth, they magnify themselves against me

it does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth.

6rejoiceth not in unrighteousness, but rejoiceth with the truth;

it is clear to me from what David says, in this Psalm that he was aware, completely: those around him were watching and waiting and hoping that he would slip, David being a faithful servant to God our Heavenly Father, the God of Abraham-Israel and also a righteous king with the righteousness of the God of creation, lest those who were setting traps and snares for King David, might, magnify themselves against him.... Yet, Saint Paul teaches that love does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth: love does not rejoice over unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; Christ Jesus is truth. Again, love does not rejoice over iniquity, but rejoices in the truth....
