Faith Is A Catalyst For Action
Intro(Me):
Welcome to our First STUDENT|WORSHIP of the Semester! My name is Josh and I am so excited you are hear! - Tonight we are starting a new series called “Catalyst”.
You heard about catalyst in science - we aren’t going to be taking any tests.
But since some need a little help - lets start with a science experiment.
As you learned in Science - Oil/Water Do NOT MIX! / Stay Separated / When you add a CATALYST (Alka Seltzer Tablet) / Something creates Change.
Transition: So what is A Catalyst? Something that creates change / speeds up something already happening.
We:
Next 4 weeks - WE are going to talk about what Catalysts, have to do with FAITH! What does faith even mean to begin with? We will learn things like:
God can be confusing if we aren’t sure who he is. How can we find the answers we are looking for?
Are we growing in our faith? What could restart or speed up our spiritual growth?
How can we help other people grow?
Transition: We're going to be talking a lot about "faith" in this series, so before we go any further, we should probably talk about what faith actually is. As you turn to Hebrews 11, what do you think is faith?
