Our Mission as a church is to Make and Equip Followers of Jesus in our Community and around the World.
Everything we do as a church should help us accomplish this mission and that includes our kids Ministry.
In order for the church to be affective at doing what God has called us to do requires that we individually use the gifts that God has given us to serve the church.
I believe that you are all here ready to serve in our kids ministry because God has given each of you special gifts that He intends to use for His glory.
Some of you are gifted in teaching, some are gifted in compassion and love, some of you are gifted in organization and leadership, and some of you are gifted in Hospitality.
My point is this.
When all of us work together- using the gifts and talents God gave each of us- we will be affective at at making and Equipping followers of Jesus in our kids ministry.
Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”
Our heart for Reel kids is that we canhave a spiritual impact in each of their lives every week they are here.
Our desire is to help each of our kids take the next step in their walk with Jesus.
Some of the kids that will come to kids club will not know Jesus They are lost and blinded in their sin.
Our greatest desire for them is to know Jesus and accept Him as their own.
- This is what it means to make disciples in our kids club.
Some of the kids will already be children of God, meaning they have put their faith in Christ for their salvation.
heir next step is to know God, to learn to love God, and to desire to follow God.
Our greatest desire for these kids should be to demonstrate Christlikeness in all we do as an example to follow and to teach them the truths of God’s word in a way that is exiting and in way that they can follow.
When everyone uses the gifts God has given them we will see lives changed through this ministry and will have great rejoicing as we watch God do the impossible work of bringing people to himself.
Eph.
3:20 “Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us,”
The best thing you could ever do for these kids is to live by the words of 1 Cor.
11:1 “Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.”
I am praying for you all and am excited to rejoice with you at what God is going to do through Reel Kids this year!
