Psalm 91:14–16 (NKJV)
14 “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name.
15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation.”
What does it mean to Know God’s name
Isaiah 52:5–6 (NKJV)
5 Now therefore, what have I here,” says the Lord, “That My people are taken away for nothing? Those who rule over them Make them wail,” says the Lord, “And My name is blasphemed continually every day.
6 Therefore My people shall know My name; Therefore they shall know in that day That I am He who speaks: ‘Behold, it is I.’
In the day they Know my nae they will know the real identity of the one who speaks through that name.
Knowing the name of God is knowing who really revealed through that name.
We must think of knowing God’s name in this term,
If we know the name Jesus but don’t really know who it is that is revealed, is speaking and working through that name we don’t really know the name then
John 14:7–11 (KJV 1900)
7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake.
Philip knew the name Jesus but he really did not know It was father’s name.
Hence he didn’t realy know Jesus nor his name.
Knowing the name of God, is knowing that the name of Jesus is the name of the Father. The name of the Almighty God.
We know God’s name, we know who speaks through that name

1. I will Set Him on High

Ephesians 2:5–6 NKJV
5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
To really understand this we have to look at Ephesians 1:20.
Ephesians 1:20–21 (NKJV)
20 which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,
21 far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.
when God raised up Christ (his body) and seated at his right hand representing the highest power, majesty and authority in heaven having been given the name that is above every name that is named.
When We know the Name Jesus, and we put on that name in baptism, we are being exalted to high places because of that name.
We set on high in the courts of heaven.
We are well known people in heaven, we are not ordinary people, but people who have been set on high in God’s court because of that name.
Example Acts 19:13-16.
The seven sons of the Cheif Priest Sceva tried to cast a demon out in the name of Jesus whom Paul preaches,
The demon possesed man acknoweldged Paul and Jesus but did know now who they were.
They were unknown in the spiritual realm.
The demons know paul because his name has been mention in the HIghest court of heaven because he know the name of God and is baptised into that name.
God has set you on high, in his heavenly court becuase you have known his name, you have believed in his name, you have put on that name

2. He will call upon me and I will answer him

Jesus had manifested God’s name to the desciples
John 17:6 (NKJV)
6 “I have manifested Your name to the men whom You have given Me out of the world. They were Yours, You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word.
John 14:13–14 (NKJV)
13 And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.
John 16:23–24 (NKJV)
23 “And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you.
24 Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.

3. I will be with him in Trouble

God has not promised us that we will not face troubles.
In fact the truth is to the contrary
Luke 21:16–18 (NKJV)
16 You will be betrayed even by parents and brothers, relatives and friends; and they will put some of you to death.
17 And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake.
18 But not a hair of your head shall be lost.
Take Heart God’s has promise to be with you in the trouble.
Because he is with that trouble won’t consume you nor ditroy you
Isaiah 43:1–7 (NKJV)
1 But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine.
2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you.
3 For I am the Lord your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I gave Egypt for your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in your place.
4 Since you were precious in My sight, You have been honored, And I have loved you; Therefore I will give men for you, And people for your life.
5 Fear not, for I am with you; I will bring your descendants from the east, And gather you from the west;
6 I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’ And to the south, ‘Do not keep them back!’ Bring My sons from afar, And My daughters from the ends of the earth—
7 Everyone who is called by My name, Whom I have created for My glory; I have formed him, yes, I have made him.”
The same God who was with daniel in the lion’s den and with shadrach meshach and abdenego in the fiery furnace is with you.

4. I Will Deliver him

Psalm 34:19 (NKJV)
19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all.
God did not leave Daniel in the lions den, God did not leave Shadrach, Meshach and Abdenego in the fiery furnace.
He delivered them.
2 Timothy 3:10–11 (NKJV)
10 But you have carefully followed my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, perseverance,
11 persecutions, afflictions, which happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra—what persecutions I endured. And out of them all the Lord delivered me.
2 Timothy 4:18 (NKJV)
18 And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for His heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen!

5. I will Honour him.

Once God’ delivers you he will honour you
Daniel 3:28–30 NKJV
28 Nebuchadnezzar spoke, saying, “Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, who sent His Angel and delivered His servants who trusted in Him, and they have frustrated the king’s word, and yielded their bodies, that they should not serve nor worship any god except their own God! 29 Therefore I make a decree that any people, nation, or language which speaks anything amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made an ash heap; because there is no other God who can deliver like this.” 30 Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego in the province of Babylon.
God will do all this things because you have known his name. You have known him
Psalm 71:20–21 NKJV
You, who have shown me great and severe troubles, Shall revive me again, And bring me up again from the depths of the earth. You shall increase my greatness, And comfort me on every side.

6. With long I will satisfy him

This mean more that just legth of years.
You can live a long life and be filled with unsatisfaction.
Ecclesiastes 6:3 (NKJV)
3 If a man begets a hundred children and lives many years, so that the days of his years are many, but his soul is not satisfied with goodness, or indeed he has no burial, I say that a stillborn child is better than he—
In other words, you are going to live your life being satisfied in the goodness of the Lord.
Jacob said that out of the 130 years he had lived, few and evil have been the days of his life
Genesis 47:8–9 (NKJV)
8 Pharaoh said to Jacob, “How old are you?”
9 And Jacob said to Pharaoh, “The days of the years of my pilgrimage are one hundred and thirty years; few and evil have been the days of the years of my life, and they have not attained to the days of the years of the life of my fathers in the days of their pilgrimage.”
At the end of their life, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David etc, there is always the comment that is made. They died Full of years.
In other words they died satfied.

7. I will show him My salvation

Two meaning to this
The act of salvation, that is, God will showing his saving acts, saving power. You will experience the saving power of the Lords, the saving acts of God.
God’s himself is our salvation
Isaiah 12:2 (NKJV)
2 Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; ‘For Yah, the Lord, is my strength and song; He also has become my salvation.’ ”
God is our salvation and becomes our salvation in Christ.
So God saying you will see my salvation means “ you will see me” you will see Christ Jesus.
Simeon, said this when he saw Jesus
Luke 2:29–30 NKJV
29 “Lord, now You are letting Your servant depart in peace, According to Your word; 30 For my eyes have seen Your salvation
Seeing him, is a privilage that God has reserved only for those who Know his name.
