Zephaniah 3:17 (NIV)

He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.”
The Vision is the song, the part in the harmony that God is singing over Westland, Livonia, Canton, Ypsilanti, Dearborn, Plymouth.

How do we get there?

We need a strategy
Strategy is essential, and I love strategy!
But! culture eats strategy for breakfast.
Peter Drucker - in the business realm we know that if our culture is one of cutting corners, not being a team player, or passivity, the strategy will not be able to overcome it.
What does that mean?
Who we are and what we base our collective identity on matters more than what we do, for if what we "do" does not flow out of our identity, the result will not harmonize with Song of Salvation God is singing but will be a discordant note.
What is Culture?
A culture is a way of life of a group of people - the behaviors, beliefs, values, and symbols that they accept, generally without thinking about them, and that are passed along by communication and imitation from one generation to the next
Life Canton has a culture and it is guided by the word of God.
These guiding principles, we have developed over the years is called the Code
Codes - A declaration that gives meaning to who we were, purpose to what we do, and drives us to who we are becoming
The Codes are on the wall, define our yearly goals, are measured, and are elevated.
Our Partners are champions of the Code not just in thought but in action, as our commitments are focused on the Code.
Together they set the culture and keep us focused on the vision of Reclaiming your identity in Jesus and bearing the torch of Christ’s Justice and Love.
Every Code is found in and rooted in scripture.
Written in the same story of God, and today, we refocus again on the truth of God.
Isaiah 55 will serve the focus this year of our codes.
