Last week: #1 - Don’t be offended
Counter Culture Tip #2: You are the VICTOR not the victim!
This society has created a victim mentality.
Everyone suffers from something...
Sickness, emotional pain, abuse
We have race, economic status thrown into our faces all the time.
This is a trick of the enemy to keep you from healing!
WE ARE THE VICTORS!
Matthew 28:18–20 KJV 1900
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
How many of you have a last will and testament?
Purpose of a will is to make decisions on your possessions before death so that it does not have to go into probate after your death.
What is probate court?
Probate is where the decisions are made as to what happens to your possessions because you did not make the decisions when you were alive...
Pays any debts you may have died with
Decides what to do with the remaining
You may say well pastor, I don’t have much so it really don’t matter…
Other considerations: what about minor children?
Do you want a court system deciding who is to raise them?
Then you need a Last Will and Testament!
You are the only one qualified to decide what you done with what you have worked so hard to get!
There that day, on a mountain overlooking the Sea of Galilee - Jesus read his Last Will and Testament to the 11 remaining disciples.
Amen.
Points of his will:
I have this right: “all power is given to me…”
Go and teach: conversion, turning for what you was - Mat 9:13 I have come to call sinners to repentance
Baptizing in the Name of Jesus: Acts 22.16 - washing away or removal of your sin
Teach them everything I have taught you: Discipleship - John 1:12 God gave us the power to be the son’s of God through his spirit!
The Last Will and Testament of Jesus Christ!
I Jesus called the Christ do bequeath my spirit to you. Take what I have given you and give it to everyone you meet! Tell them of my power to take their sins from them and given them new new life! Teach them how to walk in my truth. Train them!
Jesus’ last thoughts were of you!
