Numbers 14:1–10 NKJV
1 So all the congregation lifted up their voices and cried, and the people wept that night. 2 And all the children of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron, and the whole congregation said to them, “If only we had died in the land of Egypt! Or if only we had died in this wilderness! 3 Why has the Lord brought us to this land to fall by the sword, that our wives and children should become victims? Would it not be better for us to return to Egypt?” 4 So they said to one another, “Let us select a leader and return to Egypt.” 5 Then Moses and Aaron fell on their faces before all the assembly of the congregation of the children of Israel. 6 But Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, who were among those who had spied out the land, tore their clothes; 7 and they spoke to all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying: “The land we passed through to spy out is an exceedingly good land. 8 If the Lord delights in us, then He will bring us into this land and give it to us, ‘a land which flows with milk and honey.’ 9 Only do not rebel against the Lord, nor fear the people of the land, for they are our bread; their protection has departed from them, and the Lord is with us. Do not fear them.” 10 And all the congregation said to stone them with stones. Now the glory of the Lord appeared in the tabernacle of meeting before all the children of Israel.
Numbers 14:22–24 NKJV
22 because all these men who have seen My glory and the signs which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have put Me to the test now these ten times, and have not heeded My voice, 23 they certainly shall not see the land of which I swore to their fathers, nor shall any of those who rejected Me see it. 24 But My servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit in him and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land where he went, and his descendants shall inherit it.
Ecclesiastes 9:11 NKJV
11 I returned and saw under the sun that— The race is not to the swift, Nor the battle to the strong, Nor bread to the wise, Nor riches to men of understanding, Nor favor to men of skill; But time and chance happen to them all.
2 Timothy 4:7 NKJV
7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

Introduction

The two text today looks at two observations
Observation 1
++Things learned
++Things observed

Dream Team

++In a race we choose the fastest
++In a fight we choose the strongest
++In a test we choose the smartest
++In a building project we choose the skillful

Dream teams have a disadvantage

++They do not get more time
++They do not get more chances

Natural advantages are not guaranty victory in a natural battle

Observation 2
++Personal
++Recognition
I have
++Fought
++Finished
++Kept the faith

Faith Factor: The Fortitude of the Righteous

Proverbs 24:16 NKJV
16 For a righteous man may fall seven times And rise again, But the wicked shall fall by calamity.
This is not talking about falling into sin or immorality.
The psalmist is letting the wicked know what he is up against.
Proverbs 24:15–16 NKJV
15 Do not lie in wait, O wicked man, against the dwelling of the righteous; Do not plunder his resting place; 16 For a righteous man may fall seven times And rise again, But the wicked shall fall by calamity.
Job 1:1 NKJV
1 There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was blameless and upright, and one who feared God and shunned evil.
Job 1:21–22 NKJV
21 And he said: “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, And naked shall I return there. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; Blessed be the name of the Lord.” 22 In all this Job did not sin nor charge God with wrong.

Faith Factor:The Stability of the Righteous

Romans 5:1–2 NKJV
1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
Galatians 5:1 NKJV
1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.
Ephesians 6:13 NKJV
13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
We stand on His promises
We stand on His word
I am Who He says I am

Faith Factor: The Walk of the Righteous

2 Corinthians 5:5 NKJV
5 Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee.
2 Corinthians 5:7 NKJV
7 For we walk by faith, not by sight.
2 Corinthians 5:9 NKJV
9 Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him.

Faith Factor: The Fight of the Righteous

Romans 1:16–17 NKJV
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”
Psalm 1:6 NKJV
6 For the Lord knows the way of the righteous, But the way of the ungodly shall perish.
What does it mean to keep the faith?
What does faith do to help us in life?
Hebrews 11:1 NKJV
1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Faith Factor: The Foundation of the Righteous

Hebrews 4:2 NKJV
2 For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it.
Romans 5:3–5 NKJV
3 And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; 4 and perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

The Faith Factor

Numbers 14:5–9 NKJV
5 Then Moses and Aaron fell on their faces before all the assembly of the congregation of the children of Israel. Do not fear them.”

++Don’t be afraid in the fight
++Remember What God has promised
++Be the delight of the Lord
++Hold your ground
Numbers 14:24 NKJV
24 But My servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit in him and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land where he went, and his descendants shall inherit it.
