I. We are to Exhort

A. Exhort with Longsuffering

2 Ti 4:2 “2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.”

B. John the Baptist, Exhorted the People with Many Things

Luke 3:18 “18 And many other things in his exhortation preached he unto the people.”

B. Peter on the Day of Pentecost, exhort with Many Word to Save Yourselves from This Untoward: Perverse:-Crook toward Untoward

Ac 2:40 “40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.”

C. Peter Exhorted the Gentiles, Grecians, That They Seen the Grace of God to purpose in Their Hearts to Cleave to the Lord

Ac 11:23 “23 Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.”

D. Paul Said That Since We have Differ Gifts, We Are to Exhort with Simplicity

Rom 12:6-8 “6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; 7 Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; 8 Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.”

G. Our Exhortations Are Not to Be of Deceit, Nor of Uncleanness, Nor in Guile: Trickery, But We Are Allow God to Put Trust in the Gospel That We Speak to Men, Not to Please Men

ITh 2:3-4 “3 For our exhortation was not of deceit, nor of uncleanness, nor in guile: 4 But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts.”

Titus 2:6 “6 Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded.”

D. We Are to Exhort One Another Daily While it is Today, Lest Any of You Be Hardened Through the Deceitfulness of Sin

Heb 3:13 “13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.”

E. We Are to Exhort One Another in This Last Days is Approaching, the End of Time

Jude 1:3 “3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.”
