1 John 1–2:4 (NKJV)
That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life—the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us—that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. And these things we write to you that your joy may be full. This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us. My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world. Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
Scofield says that this First Epistle of John is a family letter from the Father to His "little children" who are in the world. A tender word is used for "children" (from Gk, teknia), a diminutive meaning "little children, born-ones" ". It is the most intimate of the inspired writings. Johns Gospel leads us across the threshold of the Father’s house; his First Epistle makes us at home there.
Sin, which alienated us from the Father, has been dealt with at the Cross, now sins resulting from the Christians walk in the world must be addressed. The difference is in our relationship to the Father. We are now His "little children" whom He is teaching and training. We need our feet washed, because we have been running in the dirt and the mud of this world. So we are told: "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" I John 1:9
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Repentance A word used some but not often matter of fact you may have heard it more since i have been here as the pastor that you ever have before. I don't know why more pastors dont preach on the doctrine of repentance. It is so clearly taught in the scripture the Lord jesus himself instructs us commands us to Repent and believe for the kingdom of God is at hand, the only reason for so many that I could think of is that its not a crowd pleaser it dosent draw many it repels most. But isnt that the way it is will all of the things of God
1 Corinthians 1:18–23 (NASB95)
For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written, “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, And the cleverness of the clever I will set aside.” Where is the wise man? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not come to know God, God was well-pleased through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe. For indeed Jews ask for signs and Greeks search for wisdom; but we preach Christ crucified, to Jews a stumbling block and to Gentiles foolishness,
But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised.
The way of the wicked is like darkness; They do not know over what they stumble.
This is one sure way to tell the counterfeits: they have no understanding of the basics of God’s Word.
On occasion (for whatever reason), one of the lost will mention reading the Bible. NOW, this is never a bad idea, but it’s necessary to point out that they will never understand the Bible until they convert.
Though the world labors 24/7 to convince men that God’s Word is just a collection of pieces written by mere men, the Bible is unlike any other book: it is a unified whole without contradictions.
Whenever two verses appear to contradict each other, the believer will reconcile them; the natural man will say “Hey! These Bible verses contradict!”
One of the games unsaved natural men play is “dueling Scripture.”
One will focus on one verse (say, Ephesians 2:8)
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God”).
Another will focus on another (James 2:20)
“But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?”
And then the two will argue which one is correct.
AS IF the two verses contradicted one another.
Those who toil attempting to show contradictions in the Bible reveal themselves for what they are: natural men, without the Holy Spirit (which will guide the believer into all truth), unsaved and lost, bound for destruction.
This is both sad and unnecessary.
Sad, because such men are bereft of the glorious hope of eternal life through Jesus Christ.
Unnecessary because Jesus suffered shame and physical death so such men might be saved.
Jesus Spoke in Mark 4:10-14
Mark 4:10–14 (NASB95)
As soon as He was alone, His followers, along with the twelve, began asking Him about the parables. And He was saying to them, “To you has been given the mystery of the kingdom of God, but those who are outside get everything in parables, so that while seeing, they may see and not perceive, and while hearing, they may hear and not understand, otherwise they might return and be forgiven.” And He said to them, “Do you not understand this parable? How will you understand all the parables? “The sower sows the word.
The Natural man cannot understand without faith and Faith is a gift of God
I say all this to say the doctrine of Repentance doesn't draw crowds for they cannot grasp it they can not tolerate it.
thats probably the reason its so misunderstood
one its not taught enough
two natural people cannot understand it. So preaching repentance wont fill the pews or keep them full but so it is with all things of God for as Jesus says in Matt 7:13
“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.
we should not be surprised
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.
they cannot endure it for it causes conviction so one of two things happens one the natural man lets just call him as he is the lost many in the church will seek-out teachers that will not teach sound doctrine for he cannot stand it. He needs to feel uplifted not convicted
Two the natural Preacher will teach another jesus another gospel one that is pleasing to the ears but in effect causes self esteem to rise but conviction to decrease
This is contrary to scripture for scripture says may I decrease oh lord that you may increase in me
1 Timothy 6:3–5 (ESV)
If anyone teaches a different doctrine and does not agree with the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ and the teaching that accords with godliness, he is puffed up with conceit and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy craving for controversy and for quarrels about words, which produce envy, dissension, slander, evil suspicions, and constant friction among people who are depraved in mind and deprived of the truth, imagining that godliness is a means of gain.
what were the lords words
This is what John here in our text is talking about
When John says This is the message which we have heard from Him
He is saying this Is Jesus Commands not mine
John says “that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. If “The Condition”we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, “The end result, or the fruit”, “we lie and do not practice the truth.
But if/ condition we walk in the light as He is in the light, Promise/we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
And He Himself is the propitiation/ Payment for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world. Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.”
lets look at what jesus said back in the Gospels
Matthew 5:17–20 (NASB95)
Matthew 5:17–20 (NKJV)
“Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.
Jesus and the Law
Jesus and the Law
The ten commandments are a major part of the Old Testament but, as Jesus stated above, these laws still equally apply today.
Revelation
Christ was not only teaching about the law in these verses. He was also revealing who He really was; God in the flesh.
Some of those in the crowd were experts at telling others what to do, but they missed the central point of God’s laws themselves.
Jesus made it clear however, that obeying God’s law is more important than explaining it (Matthew 5:19
What about Us?
It’s much easier for us to study God’s laws and tell others to obey them than to put them into practice ourselves. How are we supposed to be the “salt and light” Jesus commissioned us to be if we are seen as lawbreakers of the 10 commandments?
Truth is without He who fulfilled them there would be no way that's the point but if we a true born again spirit filled new creation in Christ then by the power of the Holy Spirit we have victory in Jesus over our sin
Not just in forgiveness but over the sin in our lives

What I have a problem is that doctrines of demons have invaded our churches in our “christian worship in tv evangelist in our podcasts and so many pastors want the glory like those they see on tv they think oh that sounds good they have allot of people at their church the view the fruits of their ministry by the amount of people in the church. This is wrong and that why such a false jesus has been so widely preached.
Many of you even may have the wrong understanding of Jesus because of this
Here me now this is by design of the devil himself remember the armor of God the schemes of the devil this is one
For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
There are doctrines of demons spoke about in the bible here Christ refers to those who spread this deception
But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons,
There can be good and bad doctrines. The word doctrine can refer to the biblical teachings of a church or a pastor. Or, in the case of 1 Timothy 4:1, the ungodly teachings of Satan. Those who follow the doctrines of demons “will fall away from the faith.” The true Faith
That is, heeding the doctrine of demons is a serious matter because it involves a departure from the truth of Christ’s gospel. The True Gospel to follow another Gospel
They are delivered through human instructors Through False teachers, Pastors Elders Sunday school teachers youth ministers and more
: “Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron” (1 Timothy 4:2).
These false teachers are hypocritical; that is, their lives do not evidence the holiness they seemingly espouse.
They are liars; that is, they deal in falsehood and knowingly lead others into apostasy. And they are beyond the reach of conscience; that is, they have found a way, in their own minds, to justify their lies. These false teachers may be personable, charming, and persuasive, but they do not receive their message from the Holy Spirit; rather, they spout the suggestions of evil spirits, whose work it is to lead people astray.
So what do you do with them the false teachers and teachings?
On the extreme
But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in My name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die.’
“So My hand will be against the prophets who see false visions and utter lying divinations. They will have no place in the council of My people, nor will they be written down in the register of the house of Israel, nor will they enter the land of Israel, that you may know that I am the Lord God.
Then the Lord said to me, “The prophets are prophesying falsehood in My name. I have neither sent them nor commanded them nor spoken to them; they are prophesying to you a false vision, divination, futility and the deception of their own minds.
“Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood. “I know that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock; and from among your own selves men will arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after them. “Therefore be on the alert, remembering that night and day for a period of three years I did not cease to admonish each one with tears. “And now I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified.
Therefore, beloved, since you look for these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, spotless and blameless, and regard the patience of our Lord as salvation; just as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given him, wrote to you, as also in all his letters, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which the untaught and unstable distort, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction. You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, be on your guard so that you are not carried away by the error of unprincipled men and fall from your own steadfastness, but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.
Now I urge you, brethren, keep your eye on those who cause dissensions and hindrances contrary to the teaching which you learned, and turn away from them. For such men are slaves, not of our Lord Christ but of their own appetites; and by their smooth and flattering speech they deceive the hearts of the unsuspecting.
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
1st Test the Spirit
Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them;
Expose Them
holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these.
3. avoid them
What are some of the Doctrines of Demons
Romans 16:17–18 (NASB95)
Now I urge you, brethren, keep your eye on those who cause dissensions and hindrances contrary to the teaching which you learned, and turn away from them. For such men are slaves, not of our Lord Christ but of their own appetites; and by their smooth and flattering speech they deceive the hearts of the unsuspecting.
Colossians 2:8 (NASB95)
See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ.
1 Timothy 1:3-4 When I left for Macedonia, I urged you to stay there in Ephesus and stop those whose teaching is contrary to the truth. Don’t let them waste their time in endless discussion of myths and spiritual pedigrees. These things only lead to meaningless speculations, which don’t help people live a life of faith in God
1 Timothy 6:5 These people always cause trouble. Their minds are corrupt, and they have turned their backs on the truth. To them, a show of godliness is just a way to become wealthy.
Titus 3:10-11 As for a person who stirs up division, after warning him once and then twice, have nothing more to do with him, knowing that such a person is warped and sinful; he is self-condemned.
2 Timothy 3:5 They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!
Jude 1:4 For certain individuals whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord.
these are only a few and i can keep going on and on. Many believe in another Jesus many trust ion another Gospel One that doesn't tell men to repent
One that says you are loved unconditionally no matter what
One that has perverted the grace of our lord jesus as a tool to continue in Sin
Not as power to remove sin from our lives.
Remember what John said
By this we know If we are in Him
“If we keep his commandments
Its not a matter of keeping them to get to heaven but keeping them because he has given us victory and has enabled us to do so by giving us a new nature because in our former self the old man who was a slave to the nature of his Sin has been set free that He may have victory in Jesus over It
WE strive to keep them because He has gacescously paid out debt.
Maybe you have been following the wrong Jesus I did for a long time
You sought out the easy jesus the one that made you God and lord of your life but provided you or do you thought a pass from your sin. Thats a false gospel
He says we must die so that He can live in us
Maybe thats been you
Today i tell you repent and believe
maybe you have taught the false GOSPEL BECAUSE IT WAS WHAT YOU WERE TAUGHT MAYBE WHAT I SAID HAS OFFENDED YOU I WILL NOT APOLOGIES i SAY TO YOU SEEK THE TRUTH BE A BARREN NOT TRUSTING IN THE DOCTRINES OF DEMONS BY THE TRADITIONS OF MEN BUT LOOK TO THE WORD AS A WHOLE AS YOUR SOURCE OF GROUNDING HUMBLE YOURSELF BEFORE THE LORD ADMIT YOU WERE WRONG SEEK HIM IN REPENTANCE AND WATCH THE FRUIT OF HIS JOY EXPAND IN YOUR LIFE.
THERE IS BUT BY ONE WAY TO HEAVEN ITS A NARROW WAY FEW ARE ON IT ITS A A HARD WAY MOST DO GO IT
WHERE ARE YOU ON THE BROAD THE EASY
OR THE NARROW AND THE HARD
