Right before his death he wrote and I quote
“Though i am not what i ought to be, nor what i wish to be,nor what i hope to be; I can truly say that i am not what i once was, a slave to sin and Satan and i can heartily join the Apostle (Paul) and acknowledge by the grace of God , I am what i am
Meaning of the word Grace:
Charis = Grace
(Greek) (English)
Chara = Beautiful, Lovely Delightful
N.T. = Joy/ Rejoicing
Latin = Gratitude
Grace} Gods attitude and actions towards mankind
Grace is used in the new testament 170
Apostle Paul uses it 101 times clearly the champion of the word grace in his writing
Jesus never used the word grace because the bible refers to him as the example of grace
john 1:17 “For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.”
Ephesians 2:8–9 ESV
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
The danger of Grace
They dont understand the idea.
They prefer a “works” system.
They fear living by faith
Philippians 3:9-11 “and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith— that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, that by any means possible I may attain the resurrection from the dead.”

Grace and Salvation
A. God’s motivation to save us is his grace
B. The method God uses to save us is faith
C. The biblical demonstration of faith for salvation is baptism

Saved through Grace- John 3:16 “16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”
Saved through Faith- Luke 8:12 “12 The ones along the path are those who have heard; then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved.”
Saved through baptism- Mrk 16:16
