Sleeping with the Enemy

I remember back in the day growing up we would go to church and stay in church for hours. There would be little to no free time to do anything else but church. Years, and years would go by and I continued that same pattern of living, however I noticed that my seek had changed a bit. I was no longer panting after God as the deer pants for Him or thirst for him. Something was lacking in my seek. Have you ever walked with God and you found yourself just going through the motions, not really feeling that fresh wind of life that you first the first time you experienced him?

What happened? What happened to the fire. The psalmist said “It’s just like fire shut up in my bones? How did our fire go out? What caused that run to become a walk, that shout to become a whisper, that love to become a like…Let’s go deeper that joy to become saddness, that zeal for life become depression, that relationship to turn sour, that marriage to now need life support? What happened?

The bible says in Matthew 5:6 “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness for they will be filled.”

There is a place that if you’re not careful you will find yourself cut off from the supply. His word says in John 15:1-5 paraphrasing “He is the true vine. We are the branches. Without His support we cannot bear fruit but as long as we abide in Him and he abide in us we will bring forth much fruit.”

I’m experiencing too many believers who trees are bear, who’s leaves have withered, who’s fruit has fallen to the ground. What happened?

Well this morning, God sent me not to strike fear in the hearers but to awaken his faithful believers to quiken your mortal body. He sent me because the reason our fire has dwindled and our level of impact has been minimal is because far too many of us are “Sleeping with the Enemy” Come on turn to your neighbor and say “ Is she talking about you?” Come on don’t wait for them to respond just look right back at me. God said, some of us have grown comfortable with just getting by but God word tells us in Psalms 112:3 Wealth and riches are in his house and his righteousness endures for ever. His family will be wealthy, and rich and he will be prosperous forever. This is God’s word. Not mine. He said in 3John 1:2 Beloved I wish above all things that you prosper and be in good health even as your soul prospers. Some of our fires have gone out because we lost our seek, we stop panting after God as the deer pants at the water brook so for so does my soul pant for you Lord. Many of our fires have dwindled because we have allowed ourselves to believe that “Riches and wealth for them” come on, I’m here today to awaken your seek, some of us have snuggled closely with the things of our past that tell us were never going to get beyond where we are. Some of us have cuddled up under the blanket with fear and anxiety that continues to hold you captive. Every time you get ready to make a move, something happens to disrupt your progress. The bible says in John 10:10 the “The thief comes to steal, and to kill, and destroy. Oh But I have come that you may have life and have it more abundantly. Who is the enemy you’ve been sleeping with? Who has tried to steal your dreams, kill your vision and destroy your legacy? Who has tried to steal your ideas, kill your ambition, and destroy your influence. Come on, the enemy is a deceiver. He is a master of counterfiet. He will make you think you see one thing when it’s only a distraction to keep you bound in order to steal, kill and destroy you. But Guess what “I AM Come” that you might have life and that more abundantly. The “I AM” has come to awaken you today, to shake your spirit and to help you get out of that bed. Come on turn to your neighbor and say “I got to get up”! I got to get up” Creation is waiting for the manifestation of the true sons and duaghters of God. It’s time, for you to get up out of that bed of affliction, that bed of doubt, that bed of shame, that bed of condemnation because my word tells me that “Many are the afflictions of the righteous but my God deliver us out of them all” Come on say it again “I got to get up!” I got to get up” Hallelulujah. So, today I’m challenging you to tell your enemy that you ain’t got to go home but you got to get the “Hell out of here” Oh yall thouhght I came to play! The bible tells me in Mark 16:17-18 that these signs shall follow them that believe they shall cast out devil; they shall speak with new tongues…somebody’s getting ready to get a new tongue not for back biting, not for complaining, but to usher themselves back into the glory of the Lord! Somebody’s getting ready to experience an outpour of God’s sprit that is going to break the demonic cycles of attack off of your life, somebody’s getting ready to gain mental clarity and stability because the enemy came in like a flood, but my God in this moment is lifting up a standard against him. These signs shall follow them that believe, we will cast out of demons, speaking in new tongues, we will lay hands on the sick and they will recover. Some of us have been sick in our bodies because we have allowed the enemy to rest in our bed. To lay his head in our laps, but today I decree a shifting in the atmosphere that will cause the demons to pack their bags and go! Come on release a sound that will shake the very place where you sit! The shake those connected to you! Come on and say it out of your mouth “I got to get up”!

That’s a good place to praise him, that’s a good place to surrender ALL. God is calling for His believers to stand up and be accounted for, He can’t count on you if you’re lazy, if you’re selfish, if you’re drunk, if you’re high, if you’re sleeping around with folks you ain’t married to, if you’re lying, if you’re stealing, if you’re mistreating folks, if you’re prideful, if you’re messy! Come on say “I got to get up” I can’t continue getting cozy with the enemy

Well, today is the day that God sent me to tell you that He is releasing something real today. Those that are submitted in His presence are going to receive a direct outpouring of his spirit. The spirit is necessary to propel us forward. When times get tough the spirit will be the solution to carry you on. He’s saying today get under my flow, the flow of my presence and and grab a hold to my altar and allow my glory to fall.
