Introduction

For those of you, who may not know me, or you are extremely confused. I am not Andrew... or Jerad for that matter.
We look slightly different. The biggest thing is, I’m not (looks down at wrist)…bald. I mean I have a little hair up there. Maybe it the lighting. Sorry, that was a cheap; I hope I don’t get fired for that. (Looks around) “We love you, Andrew.” (Big Smile)
No, I am Jairus Davis, the assistant to the manager for Student Ministry.
*No…tough crowd… this why we need prayer. Let pray guys.
*Kneel
Father God, ....
Thank for this opportunity.
I prayer that you speak and that you would give me the posture to share your word.
I thank you for filling this room with vessels on the edge of their seats with hearts and minds ready to hear from you.
I request that as we are in position, that your Holy Spirit would feel this room and do some that on you can do.
We ask this through your son, Jesus Christ. Amen!
Alright, I feel better. Guy & Girls, I am extremely to be in front you all today. I am even more excited that we get to continue our series, “Warrior”. We are in week 3.
As I began to prepare for this week lesson, I had to ask myself…Who is my favorite warrior. Guys, TBH....I don’t have one. Hear me out, for me a warrior is someone who fight in a war, they have armour. So superhero don’t fit in that category for me. However,… I do have a favorite superhero.... and they is a particular scene that I want to recall. Are guys down to check that out with me?

Tony Stark Anxiety Attack 1 - 2 minutes & 6 seconds

Now, let me break this down for you.... This movie takes place right after Avengers 2: Where Tony aka Iron Man nearly died. He had actually thought he was dead. So in Iron Man 3, where this scene takes place, Tony starts to feel this internal tension. He start to think am I having a heart attack, have I been poisoned, or is there something going on with my brain.
He immediate runs to his suit his armour because that where he feel safe and protected. He has Jarvis run test a series of test, and Jarvis concluded…The issue that you are facing is not physical, it’s something else...
I think if we look at our text, Paul is saying something similar. There are some things in our life that are constantly attacking and causing tension. And those things are NOT physical. They aren’t just mental......It’s spiritual battle! Think about that!
And since we are constantly in this battle… just like Tony…we need to RUN to our armour, and put it on daily.
Now....Let me separate Tony Stark from Paul. Now if you continued to watch Iron Man 3… we see that one isn’t good enough for Tony. He ends up making an entire army of armour…and they all turn out to be insufficient. When we put on the armour of God, it is sufficient.
I said all that to say… What we talking about in this series is REAL! This series is NEEDED! What we are talking about is IMPORTANT! And we need to be reminded daily, so don’t just treat this as some lesson we learned as kids in Sunday School. As grow as a church, as you guys grow in your walk, as we have graduates leaving home and headed to college… The enemy is gearing up.
Let’s look at what Paul says again in Ephesians 6:10-13
Ephesians 6:10–13 NIV
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

Recap

Now, I need everyone is up to date on everything we have covered so far.
Week 1: We introduced this idea premise that “We are WARRIOR in a spiritual battle.” Paul describes it not as a physical battle against “flesh and blood”. This isn’t a battle that we can see with our eyes. Rather we are in a spiritual battle
