Friendship and a prelude to jealousy

The blessing of friendship

Jonathan soul is knit to David’s (v1)
Jonathan makes a covenant with David (v3)
promise, terms, sacrifice
proverbs 17:17 “A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.”
proverbs 27:17 “Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.”
Hebrews 10:24–25 ESV
And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
