Luke 7:36-40, A Sinful Woman Forgiven.

Verses 37-38: Repentant Sinner. This woman was broken over her sin and repentant. She saw what the Pharisees did not see. She was at Jesus’ feet. She demonstrated her love for God. She gave what she had [tears, hair, kissed His feet, ointment].

Verse 39: The Righteous Pharisee. He denied Jesus’ deity and His discernment.

Verses 40-48: The Disobedient Simon, Prideful Pharisee.

Verses 48-50: Reassurance of the Savior. [Luke 7:50: And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace]. She showed how much she loved Jesus. She got peace with God. The greatest comfort we could ever get is peace with God.
