Prayer
Lord, thank-you that we can gather today to hear your word. May it be your words we hear, guided by the Holy Spirit. May we each humble ourselves to learn what it is in this moment you want to teach us. May todays message spur us on to be bold to declare Your good news to the people you put on our hearts. Amen

Habit - not the most exciting word
A habit is a routine of behavior that is repeated regularly and tends to occur subconsciously.
2009 Study Publised in the European Journal of Social Psychology - It can take anywhere from 18 to 254 days for a person to form a new habit and an average of 66 days for a new behavior to become automatic.
become more aware of your habits so you can develop strategies to change them

Parents apply discipline to guiding childern to have good habits and warn away from bad habits

Hebrews 12:7–11 NIV
Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father? If you are not disciplined—and everyone undergoes discipline—then you are not legitimate, not true sons and daughters at all. Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of spirits and live! They disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, in order that we may share in his holiness. No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.

My new habbit - reading - Lord there is a lot of things I could do today, and lots of things I might like to do today; but what Should I do - what would You have me do today? Guide me, and help me steward well my focus and my time and my energy, for your glory.

Sport - playing with others inspires me to go for a run, park run. So that I am healthy of mind and spirit.
I do not have the motivation to keep the habit myself.

1 Corinthians 9:24–27 ESV
Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it. Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. So I do not run aimlessly; I do not box as one beating the air. But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.
