I. Would Die for Bad Person or a Bad Person?
A. Most Would Not Die for a Good Man
Rom 5:7-9 “7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
B. God Commended to Have Christ Die for When We Are Sinner
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
C. Because Christ Shed His Blood for Us, So We Could Be Justified and Saved From the Wrath of Going to Hell
9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.”
II. Christ Die for Our Sins
A. Christ Gave Us the Redemption and Forgiveness of Sins, Even though He Knew No Sin
1 Jn 3:5 “5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.”
Col 1:14 “14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:”
B. Christ Was Tempted in All Point Like Us, But He Did not Sin
Heb 4:15 “15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.”
C. Christ Gave Himself for Our Sins by Bare Our in His Own Body, So We Should Live Righteousness
I Pe 2:24 “24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness:
D. Because of What Christ’s Did, We Are Healed Spiritually and Physically
by whose stripes ye were healed.”
III. God Defined Love by Sending His Son to Be the Propitiation: Greek Meaning: atonement that is (concretely) an expiator:-propitiation
I Jn 4:10 “10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.”
IV. If Christ Had Not Raised From the Dead, Our Faith Would Be in Vain, and You Would Still Be in Your Sins
I Co 15:17 “17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.”
V. Jesus is Setting Down at the Right Hand of the Throne of God, Being Our High Priest. Jesus is Author and Finished Our Faith and Our Salvation
Heb 12:2 “2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
