John 14:11 NKJV
11 Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves.
Jesus commands us to believe that He is in the Father and the Father is in Him.
What does this even mean & Why does this matter in my life?
WIIFM?

One:

John 10:30 NKJV
30 I and My Father are one.”
The Greek word for “One” has the idea of being completely unified inseparable and indistinguishable
The Father, Son & Holy Spirit are always in agreement and never in conflict, confusion or a different mind from one another.
The Spirit of God will NEVER say something that the Word (the Bible) is not saying
John 16:13 KJV 1900
13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
The Holy Spirit will never lead us to Himself or in His own way, that differs from the Word of the Lord.
We have a responsibility to the Word of God to speak the truth of the Word, in love, to those who say God has said something that He hasn’t said as revealed in His written Word.
e.g. God told me to not to be a part of a local church anymore; God told me I don’t need to tithe; God told me that He wants me to have more than one wife; God said it’s okay for me to have a same-sex relationship because He really wants me to be happy; God told me to I don’t need to forgive the people that hurt me & that He would be offended too if He were me.

Stay Connected:

John 15:4–5 NKJV
4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. 5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
John 15:4–5 (WUESTNT)
Maintain a living communion with me, and I with you. Just as the branch is unable to be bearing fruit from itself as a source unless it remains in a living union with the vine, so neither you, unless you maintain a living communion with me. 5 As for myself, I am the vine. As for you, you are the branches. He who maintains a living communion with me and I with him, this one is bearing much fruit, because apart from me you are not able to be doing anything.
Jesus stayed in living-communion with the Father at all times & was always full of the life of God because of that communion.
Jesus is our example to follow -
We are meant to stay in constant living-communion with God - Not simply for the purpose of what we can receive from Him, but as the source of life-itself.
John 5:19 NKJV
19 Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.
There is no connection to God without submission to God.
Submission/Submissive 5293. ὑποτάσσω hupŏtassō, hoop-ot-as´-so; from 5259 and 5021; to subordinate; reflex. to obey:— (G5259 & G5021 - to place beneath in position in an orderly manner)
If we are not connected to God through submission to God, He is not the source & power of what we do, and we are doing it on our own and in our own strength.
"Over-submission” to Godly leadership never hurt anyone, but lack of submission has cut off more potential and destroyed more destiny than can be imagined.

Fight for Connection:

Romans 8:38–39 NKJV
38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Just because nothing is able to separate us from God’s love doesn’t mean that each and every one of these things isn’t going to TRY!
We have to fight to stay connected and we have to fight to stay submitted
1 Corinthians 12:18–22 NKJV
18 But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased. 19 And if they were all one member, where would the body be? 20 But now indeed there are many members, yet one body. 21 And the eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you”; nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” 22 No, much rather, those members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary.
We cannot just stay connected to the head, we have to stay connected to the whole body.
We cannot say we love the Head of the Church (Jesus), but hate the body (His church).
“Don’t be connected to disconnected people” - Pastor Eddie Windsor
Be connected to people who are deeply connected to Jesus, His Shepherds, & His body.

Just One Thing:

Strive for the same oneness with Jesus that He has with the Father -
Be submitted, think the same, do the same, be the same as Jesus!
