VIDEO: HOOK ENDING
Tootles was not crazy, he had just lost his vision. His marbles were his dreams. In this busy world, don’t lose your marbles.
Consider how you currently honor God through your work and your wealth. Is there an area you need to grow or improve?
Write down the dream job or career that would glorify God through you.
If God were to open a door to that opportunity, have you prepared yourself to be competent or capable in taking on that responsibility?
Write down the resources and talents God has given you that He wants you to use in your career. (Add 2 or 3 resources you don’t personally have, people can be included, that would powerfully impact that dream). Then pray that God would bless you with those resources.
Write down what you want people to say about you after you serve? NIV Acts 13:36"For when David had served God's purpose in his own generation, he fell asleep; he was buried with his fathers..”
Proverbs 13:12 CSB
12 Hope delayed makes the heart sick, but desire fulfilled is a tree of life.
12 Deferred waiting maketh the heart sick,
And a tree of life is a wish accomplished.
What does God Want for you?
Where do your hopes and dreams come from? Culture? Comparison?
Are you settling for good enough in life or seeking great things?
If you want a good life, get a job that pays the bills.
If you want a great life, connect your work with how God planned and designed you.
So you’ve need to discover God’s purpose for your life.
Psalm 121:1–4 CSB
1 I lift my eyes toward the mountains. Where will my help come from? 2 My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. 3 He will not allow your foot to slip; your Protector will not slumber. 4 Indeed, the Protector of Israel does not slumber or sleep.
Psalm 121:5–8 CSB
5 The Lord protects you; the Lord is a shelter right by your side. 6 The sun will not strike you by day or the moon by night. 7 The Lord will protect you from all harm; he will protect your life. 8 The Lord will protect your coming and going both now and forever.
Exodus 31:1–6 CSB
1 The Lord also spoke to Moses: 2 “Look, I have appointed by name Bezalel son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. 3 I have filled him with God’s Spirit, with wisdom, understanding, and ability in every craft 4 to design artistic works in gold, silver, and bronze, 5 to cut gemstones for mounting, and to carve wood for work in every craft. 6 I have also selected Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, to be with him. I have put wisdom in the heart of every skilled artisan in order to make all that I have commanded you:
What am I good at?
Exodus 31 CSB
1 The Lord also spoke to Moses: 2 “Look, I have appointed by name Bezalel son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. 3 I have filled him with God’s Spirit, with wisdom, understanding, and ability in every craft 4 to design artistic works in gold, silver, and bronze, 5 to cut gemstones for mounting, and to carve wood for work in every craft. 6 I have also selected Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, to be with him. I have put wisdom in the heart of every skilled artisan in order to make all that I have commanded you: 7 the tent of meeting, the ark of the testimony, the mercy seat that is on top of it, and all the other furnishings of the tent—8 the table with its utensils, the pure gold lampstand with all its utensils, the altar of incense, 9 the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils, the basin with its stand—10 the specially woven garments, both the holy garments for the priest Aaron and the garments for his sons to serve as priests, 11 the anointing oil, and the fragrant incense for the sanctuary. They must make them according to all that I have commanded you.” 12 The Lord said to Moses, 13 “Tell the Israelites: You must observe my Sabbaths, for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations, so that you will know that I am the Lord who consecrates you. 14 Observe the Sabbath, for it is holy to you. Whoever profanes it must be put to death. If anyone does work on it, that person must be cut off from his people. 15 Work may be done for six days, but on the seventh day there must be a Sabbath of complete rest, holy to the Lord. Anyone who does work on the Sabbath day must be put to death. 16 The Israelites must observe the Sabbath, celebrating it throughout their generations as a permanent covenant. 17 It is a sign forever between me and the Israelites, for in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, but on the seventh day he rested and was refreshed.” 18 When he finished speaking with Moses on Mount Sinai, he gave him the two tablets of the testimony, stone tablets inscribed by the finger of God.
